
IT Support Engineer (f/m/d)

As an IT Support Engineer, you are the primary point of contact for our employees regarding all technical inquiries. You will be ensuring our internal IT infrastructure runs smoothly and supporting users with hardware, software, and local infrastructure needs.
Tasks
- 1st & 2nd Level Support: Receiving, qualifying, and processing IT incidents and service requests via ticket system, phone, email, or front desk.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnosing and resolving issues related to hardware (e.g. laptops, peripherals, mobile devices) and software (e.g. Windows, macOS, Google Workspace, Office products).
- User & Access Administration: Administering user accounts, groups, and permissions in different Identity Management systems.
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Setting up workstations, managing user accounts, and providing IT inductions for new hires, as well as handling equipment returns.
- Device & Software Management: Assisting with software deployment, updates, and device management.
- Asset Management: Maintaining accurate inventory.
- System monitoring:Monitoring systems and managing MDM/Mail Systems.
- Infrastructure & Systems:
- On-site support for meeting rooms, printers ( May include cabling/patching tasks)
- Documentation: Maintaining the internal knowledge base and documenting solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Successfully completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration or a comparable technical qualification.
- Experience: Professional experience in IT support or a service desk environment (handling both 1st and 2nd level tasks is preferred). 5 years experience is highly valued.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient knowledge of Windows Client operating systems (Google Workspace administration and MS Intune experience is highly valued)
- Basic knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, WLAN, VPN).
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote support tools.
- Soft Skills: Strong service orientation, patience when dealing with users, collaborative and team-oriented mindset, physical ability to handle hardware setups, and a structured, independent way of working.
- Languages:
- German: Business fluent (Required).
- English: Good command (B2 or higher) for international collaboration.
