Why this role matters
The Regional People Services Specialist is a hands-on, execution-focused individual contributor responsible for the day-to-day delivery of HR compliance, employee relations support, oversees immigration processes, and manages employee lifecycle operations across the Dubai, Jordan, and London offices. This role will also support employee relations matters for the Cyprus office and other local specific initiatives that might arise from time to time i.e the establishment of local benefits.
What you'll actually do
- Execute local HR compliance initiatives, ensuring daily adherence to employment regulations and internal policies across the Dubai, Jordan, and London and Cyprus offices and liaise with local authorities when needed. Educate relevant stakeholders on particularities on each location enhancing awareness and proactive actions when needed.
- Manage the on-the-ground setup and continuous improvement of employment infrastructure, including local employment contracts, onboarding documentation, and statutory benefit enrollments.
- Be the escalation point for local payroll vendors and the global Finance team when needed.
- Act as the first line of defense for detecting, assessing, and mitigating ER risks by monitoring local workplace signals and operational dynamics.
- Serve as a reliable, Employee Relations point of contact, handling frontline grievances, investigations, and disciplinary processes under the consultation and guidance of the Head of People Services
- Assist in local crisis-response efforts, implementing mitigation steps calmly and effectively under tight deadlines.
- Oversees immigration-related processes for the Dubai, Jordan, and London offices in collaboration with the internal Immigration team
- Act as the direct operational interface for external immigration vendors, legal advisors, and local government authorities to expedite pending cases.
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation to ensure all international relocations meet regional legal standards.
- Act as the highly visible, approachable, and trusted local People presence for employees and line managers in Dubai, Jordan, and London.
- Conduct routine, informal pulse checks to gather insights on team sentiment and cultural trends, escalating patterns early to HRBPs and leadership.
- Support the practical execution of top-down global initiatives (policy rollouts, engagement programs, and local incentives), applying a localized lens to ensure operational relevance.
- Implement localized monitoring routines and controls that validate compliance with substance and operational requirements in regulated setups (e.g., London and Dubai).
- Assist in gathering evidence and documentation for external labor or regulatory audits, working cross-functionally to resolve gaps swiftly.
- Handle and contribute significantly to regional and global initiatives aimed at standardizing and globalizing People practices across all regulated offices.
- Review, align, and implement localized workflows to ensure they map seamlessly to global compliance frameworks, operational blueprints, and SOPs.
- Facilitate cross-regional knowledge sharing and exchange of best practices to eliminate operational silos and maintain high execution quality across international hubs.
Who we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- Professional HR or legal certifications are considered a plus (e.g., CIPD, SHRM).
- Ongoing tracking of updates in labor law, immigration rules, and data privacy frameworks for the UK, UAE, or Jordan.
- 3-5+ years of progressive professional experience in HR Operations, HR Compliance, or as an HR Generalist, preferably in an international corporate environment.
- Proven track record of executing full-lifecycle HR processes and managing immigration visa pipelines independently.
- Direct experience handling HR administration or compliance for heavily regulated offices or audit-heavy settings is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-regional stakeholders and coordinate with external vendors without needing constant supervision.
- Strong, practical working knowledge of employment compliance and labor law principles in the UAE (Dubai), Jordan, or the UK (London).
- Advanced proficiency in using HRIS platforms (such as HiBob) and tracking metrics effectively via Google Sheets/Excel.
- Robust document control skills, with a focus on organizing complex legal filings and maintaining audit readiness.
- Bias for Action: Highly proactive and execution-oriented, moving quickly from operational insight to concrete task closure.
- Attention to Detail: Deeply organized and methodical, with zero tolerance for errors in sensitive legal contracts or data entries.
- Resilience & Ambiguity Navigation: Comfortable working calmly under pressure, handling frontline employee relations matters with high empathy and objectivity.
- Continuous interaction with local employees and line managers across Dubai, Jordan, and London to resolve daily queries.
- High-frequency alignment with the Regional HR Manager, Regional People Services Lead, Legal, and Finance teams to maintain process standardization.
