Reward and Benefits:
- £69,000-75,000 (depending on experience)

Based in Abingdon, Oxford, UK, we are a high calibre team of 100 plus people and we are growing fast. We are backed by global financial and industry investors including Applied Ventures, the strategic venture arm of the industry leading equipment company.
About the role:
A typical day for a Project Lead could look like this:
- Leading the planning, execution, and delivery of complex technical projects, keeping everything aligned with business goals, timelines, and resources
- Developing, maintaining, and sharing clear project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers
- Acting as the central point of accountability for assigned projects, making sure objectives stay clear and stakeholders feel supported and engaged
- Spotting risks and issues early, taking proactive steps to resolve them, and escalating with clear context when needed
- Coordinating cross‑functional teams and smoothing out resource challenges by collaborating with department heads and functional leads
- Mentoring and supporting junior project managers, while helping shape and strengthen project‑management best practice across the organisation
Who we are looking for:
To succeed as a technical Project Lead, we do need you to have the following experience and skills:
- Expertise in project and programme management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Able to build relationships and really understand project briefs and goals through active listening and open questions.
- Strong planning, scheduling and budgeting capabilities.
- Advanced risk and change management skills.
- High proficiency in project management tool; advanced Microsoft Excel skills are advantageous.
- Experience managing complex technical projects in engineering, R&D, or manufacturing environments.
Nice to have:
- Proficiency in project management tools and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Education / Qualifications:
- Either a degree in Engineering, Physic or similar, or a clear equivalent path through relevant apprenticeship or accumulated experience
- Senior level project management certifications: PRINCE2 Practitioner, MSP, APM Chartered Project Professional, PMI-PMP
