Reward and Benefits: 

• £69,000-75,000 (depending on experience)

About the role: 

A typical day for a Project Lead could look like this:

• Leading the planning, execution, and delivery of complex technical projects, keeping everything aligned with business goals, timelines, and resources
• Developing, maintaining, and sharing clear project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers
• Acting as the central point of accountability for assigned projects, making sure objectives stay clear and stakeholders feel supported and engaged
• Spotting risks and issues early, taking proactive steps to resolve them, and escalating with clear context when needed
• Coordinating cross‑functional teams and smoothing out resource challenges by collaborating with department heads and functional leads
• Mentoring and supporting junior project managers, while helping shape and strengthen project‑management best practice across the organisation

Who we are looking for:

To succeed as a technical Project Lead, we do need you to have the following experience and skills:

• Expertise in project and programme management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
• Able to build relationships and really understand project briefs and goals through active listening and open questions.
• Strong planning, scheduling and budgeting capabilities.
• Advanced risk and change management skills.
• High proficiency in project management tool; advanced Microsoft Excel skills are advantageous.
• Experience managing complex technical projects in engineering, R&D, or manufacturing environments. 

Nice to have:

• Proficiency in project management tools and advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Education / Qualifications: 

• Either a degree in Engineering, Physic or similar, or a clear equivalent path through relevant apprenticeship or accumulated experience

• Senior level project management certifications: PRINCE2 Practitioner, MSP, APM Chartered Project Professional, PMI-PMP
