Senior Buyer

The Senior Buyer is responsible for efficiently managing day-to-day purchasing activities, executing purchase orders, and maintaining consistency across procurement processes. This role supports the sourcing and procurement team by ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant purchasing execution across a high volume of requests. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of procurement operations, vendor management, and policy adherence — serving as a reliable and detail-oriented link between stakeholders, suppliers, and the broader procurement organization.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Execute purchase orders in alignment with company policies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with approved supplier contracts and pricing.
  • Manage a high volume of purchasing requests with attention to detail, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to confirm specifications, timelines, and budget approvals prior to order placement.
  • Maintain accurate records in procurement systems, ensuring transparency and audit readiness.
  • Collaborate with strategic sourcing and category managers to support larger vendor initiatives and implement negotiated agreements.
  • Monitor supplier performance and escalate issues related to delivery, quality, or service levels.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve purchasing workflows, tools, and reporting processes.
  • Support supplier onboarding, data accuracy, and compliance documentation.
  • Assist in tracking spend and preparing reports to inform category strategies and performance metrics.

Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Coupa, Oracle).
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional stakeholder support.
  • Working knowledge of procurement policies, processes, and contract compliance requirements.
  • Certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) preferred but not required.

The Base Salary range for the role is included below. Salary Range

$110,000 - $150,000 USD
