Engagement Director

As an Engagement Director you can expect to...

  • Serve as the executive leader for a portfolio of 3-5 strategic client accounts representing more than $10 million in total revenue, ensuring alignment between client objectives and HSO’s business goals. 
  • Own overall client satisfaction, retention, and reference ability across assigned accounts while serving as the executive escalation point for critical client concerns and complex issues.
  • Build and strengthen trusted relationships with client executives, sponsors, and key stakeholders, positioning HSO as a strategic advisor and long-term partner.
  • Lead account planning efforts and growth strategies that expand revenue through additional services, solution offerings, and geographic opportunities.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Delivery, Practice Leaders, and Solution Leads to identify, pursue, and close account expansion opportunities.
  • Drive financial performance across assigned accounts by maintaining or exceeding profitability targets, utilization goals, and commercial objectives.
  • Ensure strong commercial governance through disciplined change order management and minimal non-billable leakage of less than 2.5%.
  • Identify opportunities to help clients achieve business growth objectives through broader adoption of Microsoft solutions and services.
  • Oversee portfolio delivery performance, ensuring engagements meet client expectations, strategic goals, quality standards, and business outcomes.
  • Review engagement health across financial performance, delivery quality, staffing, resource allocation, and risk management, while coaching Engagement Managers on proactive client communications, issue resolution, and mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure consistent application of HSO delivery methodology, governance processes, and best practices across all client engagements.
  • Provide executive account health reporting and quarterly business reviews while contributing insights and recommendations that improve engagement performance and delivery excellence.

  • Connecting client growth aspirations with innovative Microsoft-based solutions and transformation opportunities.

  • Significant experience leading strategic client relationships, large-scale account portfolios, or enterprise programs within a consulting, professional services, or technology services environment.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex client engagements involving multiple service lines, stakeholders, and delivery teams.
  • Proven experience developing and executing account growth strategies that drive revenue expansion and improve client outcomes.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing account profitability, utilization, margins, and commercial performance.
  • Experience overseeing delivery governance, engagement performance, resource allocation, and risk management across large programs.
  • A track record of building executive-level client relationships and serving as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience partnering with Sales, Solution, and Delivery leaders to identify and close new business opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and executive reporting skills, including experience leading quarterly business reviews and account health discussions.
  • Experience working within Microsoft-focused consulting, cloud, business applications, data, AI, or digital transformation environments is highly desirable.
