Head of Inbound Marketing (B2B Hypergrowth)

The Position

Take on a once-in-a-career opportunity and shape the future of Hive’s Growth by leading our Inbound Marketing Channels and creating this new muscle for Hive! As our first Head of Inbound Marketing, you’ll design, build, and lead a world-class inbound engine — spanning Content, SEO, Social, Performance, and Partnerships — to generate high-quality demos and fuel our next growth phase. This is a hands-on, high-impact role with budget ownership, team-building opportunities, and direct access to C-level leaders, intending to take Hive from hypergrowth to IPO.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate true impact: Generate new qualified opportunities (demos held) for Hive to grow the customer base that truly transforms the way they do operations. You basically are steering one of the key components of our growth engine.

  • Develop the new best practice: Design and implement a comprehensive Inbound Marketing playbook that rivals and beats the frontrunners in this space, enhancing growth, brand awareness, and support along the growth funnel to hyperscale Hive.

  • Raise the bar & go the extra mile: In the world of AI and omnipresence of easy to digest knowledge and best practices, “good is not good enough” anymore. You understand this mantra and want to bring true excellence into Inbound Marketing, both in strategy, creativity and execution excellence. You also are not afraid of the new world, but use it to our advantage so that we are leading not lagging.

  • Speak many languages: While we want to create a global standard for our Hive way of working, we also want to ensure that we are truly “Glocal”; globally structured, but locally adept to ensure we win every market! So you need to both understand and/or visit our Hive Hubs to build a truly multilingual strategy.

  • Prioritize and systemize: As part of the Growth Leadership, you need to ensure that the areas we are working on in the Inbound Marketing team are actually the ones that support our business targets. Yes, for example an improved design might increase conversion by 0.2% but if a process improvement of how leads get distributed might increase the conversion rate by 2%, we should always focus on what matters most. 

  • Be hands-on and actually build something: This is not just theoretical work, especially as first person of the team, but a job that isn’t done when the concept is beautiful, but only when impact is truly felt. There is budget to build a team, hire experts, but at Hive we don’t take ourselves too seriously, but the business.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who:

  • Ultra driven: In the end change happens, when we make change happen. This means being on top of it, owning your targets, your team and initiatives, driving them independently and ensuring you are actually generating impact.

  • Passion for Inbound Marketing: You should not just like Inbound Marketing, but actually love it and strive to become one of the best Marketing Leads out there. You are interested in new channels, use them yourself to understand your audience and enjoy the art of driving tangible impact via Marketing more or at least similarly than the creativity the role brings.

  • Leadership experience: Initial leadership experience is required. This does not necessarily need to be 10 years of directional leadership, but enough so that leading, interviewing, is not completely new for you, but the basics are solid and you have enough gravitas to become a true leader.

  • Systematic & Analytical mindset: While you will discover endless possibilities of improvement or the potential of new channels quite quickly, your task is to ensure you take decisions both in a prioritized and data-driven manner. Additionally, you need to ensure that you actually do not build quick fixes or have badly managed 80/20 channels, but create logical systems (incl. the usage of automation tools) to build processes that last and reduce the manual work to ensure they are performing at peak level, which requires a high level of analytics, logical thinking and nag to system building.
  • Proactivity & ownership: You are owning the success of your larger team, meaning you need to continuously want to strive to be better, identify new areas of improvement and ensure we are moving the goal post. While the CGO will help you with this and not get lost, this is a role that needs you to act with proactivity and as a true owner, rather than expecting clear guidelines.

  • Good communication skills (verbal and written): To excite about Marketing and get the most out of your leads, new initiatives need to be presented in a way that captures and convinces and are easy to digest so that theory becomes actual practice and other teams are supporting in the way they should.

  • Organisational talent & attention to detail: Leading one of the key upper funnel teams both needs structure and organisational talent, as well as a high level of attention to detail, as 80/20 in marketing excellence died.
