About the role
This Finance manager role, which is based in the UK is a fantastic 12 months secondment opportunity to become a key member of the Solutions Finance team with responsibility for the Morrisons, Casino, ICA, Bon Preu and Alcampo Partnerships. You will be working closely with the cross-functional account teams to drive profitable growth for our partners and for Ocado.
Accountabilities
- Overall Finance responsibility for the Morrisons, Casino, ICA, Bon Preu and Alcampo partnerships, working closely with the account management teams. This will include:
- Ownership of Ocado’s financial performance with respect to the partnerships, including financial and non-financial KPIs
- Detailed knowledge of Ocado’s commercial arrangements with our UK & European partners, including fee arrangements, product pricing and contractual arrangements
- Detailed understanding of partners own financial performance and KPIs with respect to their OSP online operations.
- Driving improvements in the financial performance of the Ocado partnerships for both Ocado and for our UK & European partners. This will include being involved in the production and analysis of weekly/monthly performance (to the extent available) and providing detailed commentary to internal Ocado stakeholders, including operational leads, the account management team and Solutions leadership.
- Building relationships with the partner Finance teams to provide analysis and insight of their financial performance to support profitable growth for their OSP online operations.
- Provide insight and challenge to support decision-making and strategy development within the UK & Europe partnerships, including proactively identifying risks and opportunities to drive business performance.
- Provide day-to-day Finance support, challenge and insight to the account management teams.
- Responsibility for all Finance areas with respect to our UK and Europe partners, including invoicing of Solutions fees, budgets, forecasts and management commentary on monthly performance for the account management team and Solutions Leadership.
- Supporting commercial analysis and insight relating to the UK and Europe partners.
- Supporting the Solutions Finance team on ad hoc projects.
About you
- Qualified accountant with 3+ years post qualification experience
- Strong commercial and financial acumen

- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to get into the detail to understand key drivers of performance
- Ability to build trusted partnerships with senior leaders and external partners

- Previous knowledge of warehouse and logistics operations and/or online grocery or general merchandise businesses is desirable
