ROLE OVERVIEW 

 

As a brand, our mission is to unite the conditioning community, and for the first time ever, we’ll be doing this in a permanent retail space. 

As a team member of Gymshark London, you will be vital in shaping and maintaining what our community feel online, in real life.

As the most important role in the store team,you’ll play a pivotal role in bringing Gymshark to life, in real life. 

Our store will behave in a way that’stotally unique to Gymshark. Our community and customers are our ‘family’, so we treat them as such. We don’t care if they buy, browse or just hang out. What matters is providing a safe space where everyone belongs and feels welcome. 

To smash this role, you’ll need to have the above mindset, and be someone that your team looks to for inspiration and guidance. You’llbe responsible for supporting all elements of our unique and disruptive impact, working closely with our HQ teams, collaborating, ideating and making sure that our physical offering is always evolving. 

As a team member in our flagship store you are a brand ambassador – ensuring that our community has the most incredible Gymshark experience. Working with your team, you will use your positive energy and sense of fun to build a welcoming and inclusive environment. Creating community is your number one priority. You will build authentic connections with visitors to your store, helping to educate them about conditioning and inspiring them to be their personal best. Combining your excellent product knowledge, operational best practice and technological flair, you will offer a best-in-class service, helping our community to shop how they want, and when they want.   

 

What You’ll be doing:  

  • Represent the Gymshark culture and values, be a natural brand ambassador in everything you do and be passionate about the community and their experience of Gymshark 
  • Be responsible for supporting the overall day-to-day running and execution of the store, while thinking about “what’s next” and being in the now 
  • Identify and share opportunities both within your pillar and for the wider Gymshark business
  • As a clear and confident communicator, you will be comfortable with receiving and delivering feedback, and working alongside your co-collaborators at GSHQ
  • Support with the hiring and developing,of a diverse and world class team that is as excited about Gymshark as we are. Our team, customers experience, community, brand and product education matter to us, and they matter to you
  • Support your team, delivering training, creating learning opportunities and supporting everyone to be their best
  • In the moment coaching and feedback to your team. Feedback matters
  • Strive to achieve KPIs for your pillar, as demonstrated by the business, by motivating your team through passion, energy and coaching
  • Be a role model for brand, customer experience, product knowledge and operational best practice and be able to train the wider team
  • Support Gymshark’s most important assets: our people, customers, and community. Ensure they and their environment are safe and sound at all times. Also have responsibility for physical assets such as building, stock and tech and ensure any losses are minimised and everything is running as it should
  • Support store leadership with the execution of store driven projects as and when needed
  • Support, coach, and train others to grow personally and professionally, and at the same time secure your own learning and development. Nurture and grow your local network

PILLAR RESPONSIBILITIES: 

OPERATIONS

  • Support the management of a smooth, unified commerce experience, striving to initiate and evolve an enhanced and unique customer experience
  • Support stock management and movement, including audits, delivery and rapid replenishment we don’t miss an opportunity
  • Maintain exceptional standards, with daily floor walks, checking team scheduling, monitoring supplies, and ensure daily operations are well managed and run smoothly
  • Support store management to ensure both team and customers are kept safe and sound at all times (Health and Safety, all LP considerations)
  • Set the bar for a seamless fitting room experience, maintaining clean, clear spaces, requests are dealt with quickly and the team are always attentive and eager to look after all customer needs
  • Support all store processes and compliance, identifying needs, delivering training and maintaining accurate and consistent process management
  • Be a role model for all instore sustainability commitments, and support team members to understand and participate

 

Experience and skills: 

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced, high volume, agile environment
  • Experienced in an agile, changing environment 
  • Community building in a new market 
  • Highly effective communicator, written and verbal or British Sign Language
  • You are comfortable shifting gears and spinning multiple plates
  • You have some digital experience
  • Must be able to take and give constructive feedback
