What will you do?

• Partner with GTM on deal strategy – Provide proactive structuring guidance, develop fallback positions, support procurement escalations, and balance disciplined risk thresholds to help close strategic deals
• Advise Product & Engineering on AI and IP risk – Guide teams on output ownership, training data considerations, regulatory implications, and responsible innovation while maintaining commercial flexibility
• Lead commercial contracts end-to-end – Own negotiation of customer and vendor agreements with fast turnaround and business-first thinking
• Drive governance, privacy & regulatory compliance – Oversee corporate governance, global privacy frameworks (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA), AI regulation, and ongoing compliance programs
• Support security & assurance processes – Partner on DDQs, audits, customer security reviews, and regulatory inquiries to enable enterprise growth
• Build and scale the legal function – Establish modern legal infrastructure, manage external counsel and litigation, oversee budgets, and develop internal legal training programs

What will you need to have?

• 8–10 years of legal experience – Including at least 5 years in-house, preferably in SaaS or high-growth tech environments
• Strong commercial SaaS expertise – Deep experience negotiating subscription agreements and complex enterprise contracts
• AI, IP & data protection fluency – Strong understanding of AI regulatory developments (including EU AI Act), IP exposure, global privacy frameworks, and operational compliance (DPAs, data mapping, breach response)
• Deal-oriented mindset – Proven ability to support revenue teams with strategic deal guidance while maintaining smart risk boundaries
• Broad legal foundation – Experience across corporate governance, employment law, risk management, dispute resolution, and external counsel management
• Executive presence in ambiguity – Ability to build authority, operate independently, and establish scalable legal systems from the ground up
