If you are a backend engineer who sees LLMs as a new architecture building block, enjoys balancing deterministic systems with probabilistic AI, and wants to ship real features - not just experiments - then your place is with us!

What will you do?

• Build the AI backbone - Design and implement backend logic that powers Guidde’s core AI-driven experiences
• Develop scalable AI workflows - Create reliable pipelines and agents that handle complex reasoning in production
• Integrate across the product - Write clean, maintainable Node.js and Python code that connects AI capabilities to the core application
• Improve quality through evaluation - Build frameworks to measure, test, and iterate on AI output quality
• Balance speed and reliability - Ensure AI-powered features perform well, scale smoothly, and are production-ready

What will you need to have? 

• Strong backend engineering foundation - 4+ years building production systems with Node.js (TypeScript), APIs, databases, and async architectures
• Python fluency - Comfortable using Python for AI frameworks, experimentation, and data processing
• Applied LLM experience - Hands-on experience building and deploying LLM-based applications using RAG, embeddings, and vector databases
• Solid system design skills - Experience decoupling long-running AI inference from user-facing APIs using queues or similar patterns
• Prompt engineering discipline - Ability to design structured, consistent prompts and maintain them in a version-controlled codebase

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience with frameworks like LangChain, DSPy, or similar tooling
• Built AI features used at scale by external customers
• Worked in a fast-moving startup where shipping matters
