Key Responsibilities:
1. Project and Program Management:
○ Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans for infrastructure initiatives,
including timelines, resource allocation, and milestones.
○ Execution: Manage the end-to-end delivery of infrastructure projects, ensuring
they are completed on time and within budget.
○ Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to
ensure project success.
○ Progress Monitoring: Track project progress, manage budgets, and provide
regular status updates to stakeholders.
2. Technical Oversight:
○ Performance Optimization: Optimize infrastructure for performance, reliability,
and cost-efficiency using GCP tools like Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging.
○ Security and Compliance: Ensure that infrastructure solutions adhere to
security best practices and compliance requirements, leveraging GCP’s IAM and
security tools.
3. Stakeholder Management:
○ Communication: Communicate project goals, progress, and outcomes to
stakeholders, including executives, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
○ Negotiation: Manage stakeholder expectations and negotiate trade-offs to
balance project priorities and constraints.
4. Process Improvement:
○ Best Practices: Implement industry best practices for infrastructure
management, including automation and continuous integration/continuous
deployment (CI/CD) using tools like Cloud Deployment Manager and Terraform.
○ Efficiency: Identify and drive process improvements to enhance infrastructure
management and operational efficiency.
5. Compliance and Security Management:
○ Access Control: Implement and manage access control policies using GCP’s
IAM to ensure secure and appropriate access.
○ Incident Management: Develop and manage incident response plans for
infrastructure-related issues, utilizing GCP’s security features and tools.
6. Vendor Management:
○ Vendor Relationships: Manage relationships with GCP and other third-party
service providers, ensuring that SLAs and performance expectations are met.
○ Contract Negotiation: Negotiate and manage contracts and service agreements
with vendors to align with project needs.
Qualifications:
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP) are a plus.
● Experience: 4+ years of experience in technical program management, with a focus on
infrastructure projects. Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud
Platform (GCP), is highly desirable.
● Technical Skills: Proficiency in GCP services and architecture, including Compute
Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Kubernetes Engine. Knowledge of infrastructure
automation tools such as Terraform is advantageous.
● Project Management: Proven experience with project management methodologies
(e.g., Agile, Scrum) and tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project).
● Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to
convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
● Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of
addressing complex technical and project-related issues.
