Seeking an experienced Frontend Developer to build and scale user-facing solutions on the Groupon platform. This role involves developing high-impact frontend features using Next.js, React, and GraphQL to ensure a seamless customer experience throughout the purchase journey. You will collaborate closely with product managers and backend engineers to bring new ideas to life, focused on improving customer engagement and merchant success. Emphasis is placed on adhering to modern frontend practices, actively utilizing AI tools for development, performance optimization, and fostering a high-quality engineering culture.

🚀 What You’ll Be Doing:

1. Build and Scale User-Facing Solutions
   Own and deliver high-impact frontend features using Next.js, React, and GraphQL to create seamless customer experiences across Groupon’s checkout and post-purchase journeys.
   
   
2. Collaborate Closely Across Teams
   Work hand-in-hand with product managers & backend engineers to bring new ideas to life—focused on improving customer engagement and merchant success.
   
   
3. Lead by Example in Frontend Excellence
   Champion modern frontend practices: AI assisted coding, SSR, performance optimization, accessibility, testing, and maintainable architecture.
   
   
4. Tackle Challenges in a Fast-Paced Environment
   Thrive in a transformation-driven team that moves fast, delivers iteratively, and embraces ownership from idea to production.
   
   
5. Contribute to a High-Performance Engineering Culture
   Actively participate in code reviews, suggestions for improvement of processes, and mentoring to elevate the whole team and help us build a best-in-class engineering culture.
   
   

💡 What We’re Looking For:

1. Expertise in React, Next.js & GraphQL
   Strong hands-on experience with React and Next.js, including SSR, dynamic routing, and performance tuning in large-scale applications. Comfortable working with GraphQL clients (e.g. Apollo), writing performant queries/mutations, and understanding schema-driven design.
   
   
2. AI-Native Engineer
   Actively uses AI tools (like GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor or Claude) to boost productivity, unblock faster, and elevate code quality—embracing AI-assisted coding as a daily habit.
   
   
3. Product-Minded Engineer
   You think beyond the code—understanding how UX, product goals, and technical trade-offs come together to create great outcomes.
   
4. Ownership and Autonomy
   Proven ability to take full ownership of features or problems and independently drive them to resolution with high accountability.
   
   
5. Team Player with a Builder Mentality
