About the Role

In this role, you will hold a key position in the planning, creation, testing, and evaluation of prototypes. In an interdisciplinary environment (Simultaneous Engineering approach), you will be responsible for developing prototypes and validating them. You will coordinate the design of these prototypes and the corresponding test plans with subject matter experts from the requesting departments as part of our building system development.

In doing so, you will play a decisive role in shaping innovations in our products and their manufacturing processes, directly contributing to our operational business goals. You will work closely with our product developers (building system experts, wall and ceiling elements) and bring your technical expertise in at an early stage of development. You will prepare test runs with our technicians and coordinate their execution with the teams responsible for prototype construction. Guiding team members and sharing your expertise comes naturally to you and gives you satisfaction.

Your area of responsibilities include:

• Plan sample productions and test setups with the requesting subject matter experts, and coordinate their timely execution.
• Coordinate capacities and internal material availability.
• Design sample parts and prototypes (AutoCAD/Inventor).
• Adapt test parts to the specific requirements of the test rigs.
• Coordinate internal and external testing with test institutes.
• Support sample testing, including at external testing institutes.
• Document, analyze, communicate, and discuss results.
• Evaluate measurement data and perform statistical analyses.
• Plan and procure test rigs and testing machines as project-based tasks.
• Contribute to the Simultaneous Engineering development process.

About You

• Ideally, a completed university degree in Engineering, Wood Technology, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Alternatively, a vocational background in timber construction, wood technology, carpentry, or similar, with at least 5 years of professional experience, ideally in serial modular construction and construction site experience.
• Experience in designing timber structures is an advantage.
• Practical orientation and willingness to manage the associated documentation.
• Enjoy working across a broad range of tasks, from design and testing to on-site construction, including creating and maintaining documentation.
• Willingness to undertake occasional or project-based business trips.
• Good command of German and English (spoken and written).
