Junior Production Engineer (all genders)
About The Company
GROPYUS is a technology-based construction company focused on building multi-story residential buildings. Thanks to its prefabricated building system with various design options, industrial offsite construction, and fully digitalized processes, the company manufactures aspirational, sustainable, and affordable homes using timber construction methods. GROPYUS is using scalable construction and manufacturing solutions to tap into a future market, boost Europe's strength in innovation, while also playing a substantial role in improving sustainability.
About the role
We are building a highly automated manufacturing facility for prefabricated building components in Richen and are currently transitioning from ramp-up into full-scale serial production. Following a recent reorganization, the local Manufacturing Engineering team has full ownership of site processes. We define how production is run rather than having processes handed down to us.
As a Junior Production Engineer, you will work where value is created: on the production line. You will analyze operations together with shift leaders and operators, eliminate recurring issues at their root cause, and embed sustainable solutions into production standards. Short decision-making paths, a small team, and real ownership mean that decisions you make today can be implemented on the line tomorrow.
- Analyze production processes on the line, identify bottlenecks and recurring sources of disruption, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Provide technical support during line disruptions and derive permanent corrective measures from recurring issues.
- Independently plan and implement continuous improvement (CIP/KVP) initiatives and measure their impact on cycle time, quality, and equipment availability.
- Apply and establish Lean Manufacturing methods within the plant, including standard work, line balancing, and waste elimination.
- Create and maintain process standards and work instructions, and assess the impact of engineering changes (CRs) on production performance.
- Support shift leadership and production operators in daily operations and introduce improvements in close collaboration with them.
