About the Role

The Financial Accountant position is a back fill position within the finance team. It is a key role for the organisation and will support the finance team in the business where there is a focus on leading and developing a high-quality team.

What You Will Do

• Ownership of month-end accounts preparation, consolidation preparation and balance sheet reporting and ensuring that all month-end journal entries and closing activities are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assist with compliance with all required tax, regulatory and statutory audit filings.
• Review and improve finance policies, procedures, and controls.
• Review company costs and seek ways to reduce costs.
• Assisting and support to the finance team on various ad hoc projects, including bringing improvements/efficiencies to the current systems in place, ERP implementation and applying for grants and support.
• Assist with year-end audit process and prepare year-end reporting packs for subsidiaries and consolidated accounts.

Candidate Profile

What we are looking for:

• Newly qualified or recently qualified ACA/ACCA
• Proven ability to thrive in dynamic and fast-paced work environments
• Excellent organizational skills/ability to prioritize work
• Excellent communicator and team player
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Proficient with Google applications including Google Sheets
• Can-do attitude - hard working and driven
