Sales & Business Development Lead - Maritime SaaS

We’re looking for an entrepreneurial Sales & Business Development Lead to join us as our first sales hire. This is a rare opportunity to join early and help shape how we bring Sealenic to market. You’ll work closely with our co-founder on everything from deal execution to refining our go-to-market strategy.

This role is ideal for someone with strong B2B sales experience who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to make a direct impact in a company bringing AI innovation to the maritime industry.


Your Mission

  • Drive new business: Own the sales process from first contact through close, with support from the co-founder on strategic deals and key accounts.

  • Refine our GTM approach: Collaborate with the co-founder to test and improve messaging, segmentation, and sales playbooks based on live market feedback.

  • Build early pipeline: Identify, qualify, and engage prospects across maritime operators, offshore energy companies, and related verticals.

  • Act as a trusted advisor: Understand complex operational and regulatory pain points in maritime, and clearly articulate how Sealenic delivers value.

  • Support pricing and packaging: Work with leadership to iterate on pricing models and commercial offers as we scale.

  • Contribute to CRM and tooling decisions: Help us establish practical workflows and reporting as we build our sales foundation.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Share insights with product, customer success, and marketing to help align priorities and inform roadmap decisions.


Your Profile

  • 4–6 years of experience in B2B sales or account management, ideally in SaaS, data, or workflow tools.

  • Proven track record of closing mid-size to enterprise deals, especially in new or complex markets.

  • Strong communicator and relationship builder—you know how to build trust and tailor your approach to different stakeholders.

  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple deals simultaneously with attention to detail.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset—you’re comfortable in a startup environment and excited to help build from the ground up.

  • Collaborative by nature—you enjoy working with others to define strategy, solve challenges, and get things done.

  • Experience in maritime, logistics, energy, or industrial sectors is a strong plus.

  • Fluent in English (German, Spanish, or other languages are a plus).
