We are looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to lead our finance operations and monthly accounting close across the Group. Reporting directly to the Regional Financial Controller, this role is responsible for ensuring that the monthly close, group consolidation, and statutory reporting are completed on time and with a high level of accuracy. The Finance Manager will manage the finance operations team and coordinate closely with local finance teams, auditors, and tax advisors across multiple markets.
Responsibilities
1. Finance Operations Execution:
- Oversee the finance operations team, ensuring clear responsibilities, timely execution, and consistent standards.
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations across all entities in accordance with Group accounting policies.
2. Monthly Close & Group Reporting:
- Owned the end-to-end monthly accounting close process for all entities, with a strong focus on: (i) timely completion of close deadlines (ii) high accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial data (iii) proper reconciliation and support of balance sheet and key accounts.
- Review journals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules prepared by the team before submission.
- Prepare and review group consolidation and monthly management reports, ensuring alignment with Group reporting standards.
- Identify and resolve accounting issues during the close cycle, escalating technical or judgment matters where required.
3. Audit, Tax & Statutory Coordination
- Coordinate external audits across all markets, managing timelines, audit requests, and responses.
- Liaise with tax agents and local advisors to ensure timely and accurate tax filings.
- Coordinate the preparation and filing of statutory financial statements for all entities.
- Ensure compliance with local statutory reporting requirements, escalating complex matters where required.
4. Close Process Efficiency & Operational Improvements
- Drive improvements to the efficiency and reliability of the month-end close process, including timelines, documentation, and coordination.
- Support finance-related and ad hoc projects aimed at improving close quality, reporting accuracy, and operational consistency.
- Assist with finance systems usage and reporting workflows to support day-to-day operations.
5. Exposure to Strategic Finance (Development Opportunity)
- Gain exposure to forecasting, budgeting, financial planning, ERP implementation and strategic finance initiatives through close collaboration with the leadership team.
- Support strategic finance work on an as-needed basis, while maintaining primary accountability for close execution and quality.
Requirements
- 5-6+ years of relevant finance experience, with strong hands-on ownership of monthly close and financial reporting.
- Proven experience managing or leading a monthly close process in a multi-entity or regional environment.
- Experience working with auditors, tax agents, and external advisors.
- Strong attention to detail, sound accounting judgement, and a high standard for accuracy.
- Ability to manage deadlines, coordinate across teams, and resolve issues under time pressure.
- Comfortable working with Google Sheets and adaptable to finance systems and tools.
- Clear communicator with high integrity and a collaborative working style.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
