The role

The APAC Marketing Executive supports the delivery of the Financial Times’ commercial marketing activities across the region, helping to coordinate strategic partnerships, client events, marketing campaigns and activations.

Working closely with the APAC Commercial Director, the central marketing team in London, APAC brand and sales teams and colleagues across the FT, you will provide day-to-day marketing and administrative support to help ensure the successful delivery of premium client experiences, commercial partnerships and marketing initiatives across arts, luxury, lifestyle, finance and B2B sectors.

This role offers broad exposure to commercial marketing, with a focus on client events and experiences, partnership coordination, marketing communications, project administration and cross-functional collaboration. You will help ensure activity is delivered efficiently and consistently while maintaining the FT brand across the region.

Key responsibilities

Commercial partnerships and activations

  • Support the planning and delivery of commercial partnerships and client activations.

  • Coordinate marketing assets and partnership deliverables with external partners and internal customers.

  • Assist with handling partnership timelines and ensuring agreed benefits are delivered.

  • Help find opportunities to promote FT commercial initiatives and maximise partner engagement.

Event marketing and client engagement

  • Support the organisation and delivery of client events, including breakfasts, dinners, receptions and hospitality experiences.

  • Coordinate event logistics, including venues, invitations, guest lists, branded materials, catering, gifting and on-site support.

  • Assist with attendee communications and registration management.

  • Help ensure events are delivered to a high standard and provide an excellent client experience.

Marketing campaigns and communications

  • Assist with the creation and distribution of localised marketing communications, including email campaigns, newsletters, invitations and event materials.

  • Update localised marketing content across platforms including LinkedIn, Pardot and Salesforce.

  • Support audience engagement and campaign reporting.

  • Help ensure local marketing activity is consistent with the FT brand.

Partner coordination

  • Liaise with colleagues across APAC and UK commercial marketing, sales, FT Live and brand teams to support campaign delivery.

  • Coordinate meetings, timelines and project updates.

  • Respond to partner and customer enquiries in a timely and professional manner.

  • Support effective cross-functional collaboration across regional and global teams.

Reporting and marketing administration

  • Maintain marketing calendars, project trackers and partnership documentation.

  • Support budget tracking, invoice processing and purchase orders.

  • Coordinate branded merchandise, print production and shipping for events and activations.

  • Assist with reporting on campaign and event performance.

  • Support the smooth and efficient administration of regional marketing activity.

Required skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 1–2 years’ experience in a marketing, events, communications or administrative role; relevant internship experience will also be considered.

  • Cantonese speaker, with other Asian languages advantageous.

  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Confidence using Google Workspace, particularly Google Sheets and Google Slides.

  • A proactive, collaborative and positive approach to work.

  • Enthusiasm and an eagerness to learn and develop.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence communicating with a range of partners.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Flexible, reliable and willing to support events outside normal office hours where required.

  • Passionate about delivering high-quality client experiences.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting events or hospitality programmes.

  • Familiarity with CRM or marketing platforms such as Salesforce, Pardot or similar email marketing systems.

  • An interest in media, luxury, arts, culture or B2B marketing.

  • Experience working with external partners, agencies or suppliers.

We currently operate a hybrid model which requires staff to work onsite 50% of the time, subject to role requirements & regular review.
