The Role

FT Professional licenses Financial Times content to organisations across the globe, helping businesses, governments and institutions stay informed and make better decisions.

As a Client Relationship Executive (CRE) within the Sales Renewal team, you will handle and grow a portfolio of group subscription clients across Continental Europe, the Middle East and Africa (CEMEA). Your primary focus will be on retaining and renewing existing subscriptions while finding opportunities to expand engagement and commercial value within your accounts.

You will build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, ensuring clients derive maximum value from their FT Professional subscriptions. Working closely with Customer Success Managers, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams, you will drive engagement, support renewal cycles, and see opportunities to deepen partnerships with our clients.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong client relationships, delivering commercial outcomes, and working in a fast-paced international environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle and grow a portfolio of group subscription clients across the CEMEA region, with a particular focus on the Middle East

  • Deliver against annual retention and upsell revenue targets within your assigned accounts

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders through regular meetings and strategic account engagement

  • Find opportunities for retention, upsell, expansion and cross-sell across your client portfolio

  • Collaborate with Customer Success, Marketing and Support teams to drive customer engagement and value from FT Professional subscriptions

  • Proactively monitor account health, handle renewal cycles and identify risks early to mitigate potential churn

  • Maintain accurate Salesforce reporting, providing insights that advise product development and commercial strategy

  • Stay informed about client organisations, market trends and competitor activity to support a strategic, value-led client approach

Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong communication and listening skills, with confidence engaging clients via phone, video and virtual meetings

  • Experience in account management, client relationship management, or a similar client-facing role

  • Proven track record to retain and grow client accounts, meeting or exceeding commercial targets

  • A proactive, motivated and goal-oriented approach to handling client relationships

  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to identify client needs and align solutions to deliver value

  • Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce to handle accounts and sales activity

  • Comfort using AI-powered or digital tools to enhance productivity and sales effectiveness

Desirable

  • Experience working with clients in the CEMEA region, particularly the Middle East

  • Fluency in a language spoken within the CEMEA region

  • Experience in media, information services, SaaS or subscription-based products
