The Role
We’re looking for a motivated Data Insights Analyst to join the FT Professional Data Insights team. You’ll play a key role in exploring, questioning, and storytelling with data, supporting Marketing, Customer Success, Sales and Operations. You’ll create actionable insights by combining data sources with business context, helping shape strategic and operational decisions.

Working closely with the Customer Analytics team and the wider FT analytics community, you’ll build and maintain B2B data models, design dashboards, track performance, and uncover opportunities across the customer journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a B2B data model to analyse accounts and users by territory, industry and more
  • Review the full B2B customer journey to understand drivers of growth and risk
  • Identify opportunities and risks across the lifecycle
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports tracking monthly and quarterly B2B business performance
  • Work with senior leadership to define and maintain key metrics and benchmarks
  • Develop data models to improve timing and targeting of customer interactions
  • Analyse account and market potential to guide marketing investment
  • Monitor competitors and market trends to identify gaps and opportunities
  • Collaborate with Customer Analytics on complex projects using FT Professional data

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in an analyst role
  • Curious, detail-oriented, and a clear thinker
  • Self-motivated with strong multi-tasking skills
  • Commercial awareness and business goal understanding
  • Stakeholder management experience
  • Skilled at working across teams and adapting to different contexts
  • Exposure to varied datasets and leading analytics projects
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, able to translate complex data to varied audiences
  • Proven SQL and advanced Excel skills

Desirable

  • Experience with Salesforce, Looker or similar analytics tools
  • Background in subscription/media businesses
  • Experience in B2B sales & account growth strategies
  • Data visualisation and presentation expertise
  • Degree-level education
