About the Debt Capital Markets Team

Our Capital Markets team is a core part of EQT’s global operations, managing relationships with a diverse range of lenders, including banks, credit funds, and CLOs. Based in Hong Kong as part of a supportive team of four, you’ll work alongside strong leadership in a highly collaborative culture that champions shared success, open communication, and innovation. Together, we ensure EQT’s portfolio companies are well-positioned to grow sustainably while delivering attractive returns.

About the Role

As an Associate/Vice President, you will play an essential role in identifying, raising, and managing debt capital to support EQT’s investments and operations in APAC. Partnering closely with the investment teams, you’ll provide insights on leverage views, shape optimal capital structures, and manage relationships with lenders, tax, and legal advisors.

  • Assist in effectively identifying and raising debt capital from suitable financing parties based on transaction structure and deal requirements
  • Provide early inputs on leverage views and appropriate capital structure to assist investment teams in evaluating attractiveness of potential investments
  • Help investment teams understand "pricing building blocks" to form an educated view on potential outcomes
  • Ensure all deals with maintenance covenants have sufficient flexibility through permitted addbacks and cushion
  • Manage lender relationships and information flow among stakeholders to coordinate ongoing Q&A on portfolio companies
  • Work closely with rating agencies to understand their methodology thoroughly to push for desired ratings outcomes
  • Work closely with tax / legal to design appropriate structures for financing transactions

About You

You are an experienced professional with a strategic mindset, a knack for critical thinking, and exceptional communication skills. You thrive in collaborative environments and bring an innovative approach to problem-solving. With a passion for capital markets and a global outlook, you’ll succeed in this role by building relationships, driving results, and championing EQT’s values.

  • 5–7 years of experience in leveraged finance, loan structuring, credit risk, or corporate finance.
  • Proven track record and established network with financial institutions across APAC.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with teams across geographies and disciplines.
  • Proficiency in Japanese is a plus but not mandatory.
