About the team

The Fund Operations Team at EQT plays a central role in ensuring seamless operations for our investment activities. It is a diverse group of professionals committed to efficiency, compliance, and innovation, working across EQT’s global footprint. Within this team, the Governance Team leads efforts in Global Entity Management, managing the full lifecycle of entities, compliance, and governance. From setup to liquidation, this team ensures that EQT’s operations meet the highest standards of efficiency and alignment with risk protocols. By collaborating across functions, the Governance Team underpins EQT’s strategic goals and operational excellence.

About the role 

As a Governance Associate, you will be instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of corporate governance and operational efficiency. This includes managing global legal entity setups in different locations, managing end to end liquidation starting from divestment, supporting corporate questions, overseeing board activities, and driving compliance processes. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to transformative initiatives aimed at enhancing operational processes through automation and digital tools.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee corporate governance activities, including global legal entity management, banking relationships, board meetings, and compliance processes.
  • Translate regulatory changes into actionable operational procedures.
  • Lead process improvements, focusing on automation and digitization to optimize daily operations.
  • Support transformational projects to deliver scalable, long-term solutions.
  • Build and foster relationships across EQT departments to enhance collaboration and communication.
  • Occasionally travel to EQT locations to support governance and operational needs.

About You

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative professional who thrives in fast-paced environments. You should have a proactive mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality results.

Desired Skills and Experience

Must-Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in legal studies, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a law firm or private equity sector.
  • Solid understanding of Luxembourg laws relating to Alternative Funds, including Company Law, AIFM Law, and AML regulations.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with fluency in English.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience in process automation and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Exposure to working in a global and cross-functional environment.
