About the Role:
EQT Exeter has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Analyst to join the team and support the firm’s investment and asset management functions. The Associate provides analytical and research support to assist senior team members in making real estate investment decisions related to acquisitions and portfolio management. The position will be based in Singapore.
The Associate will be exposed to all facets of our Real Estate investment process including:
- Acquisitions
- Debt Financing
- Asset Management
- Marketing
- Valuation
- Performance Metrics and Reporting
- Asset Sales
Roles and responsibilities
The Associate Analyst will work as part of the fast-paced acquisitions and finance team supporting all elements of the acquisition and asset management process and will work directly with the regional head of real estate, as well as senior management team members from the acquisitions and leasing functions on a daily basis. Specific duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Develop financial models and other analytical tools for acquisition analysis utilizing Argus and Excel software
- Property level underwriting of new and existing real estate investments
- Collection and analysis of market data including interacting with RE brokers
- Review of due diligence materials
- Preparation of investment committee memorandums
- Act as a liaison with accounting and finance staff to assist in quarterly valuations/client reporting and portfolio analyses, partner distribution waterfalls and risk management
- Assistant with mortgage debt solicitation, analysis and reporting
Key Requirements but not limited to:
- Degree in Real Estate, Finance or Business is preferred
- Minimum of two years' working experience in the finance and/or investment verticals within Real Estate
- Experience in financial analysis, modelling, transaction execution, report preparation and communication skills dealing with market participants.
- Ability to work independently and proactively to identify and advance transactions.
- Strategic and long-term thinker with strong analytical and creative problem-solving ability, with ability to think laterally.
- Adept at working autonomously within a fast-paced, high-growth, and entrepreneurial environment
