Valuation Analyst (Internship)
EQT is looking for a full-time Intern for the Valuations team, which is a part of our Group Finance department, focused on Portfolio Company Valuations & Investor Reporting. The internship spans 6 months, starting in Spring 2025 (with some flexibility).
The Role
In this role, you will gain broad exposure to various valuation models used for EQT's investments across the firm's business lines, e.g., Private Equity, Infrastructure, and Venture Capital, contributing to your understanding of company valuations, investment performance measures, and the private equity industry. You will work in close collaboration with the investment advisory professional teams across the global EQT organization to ensure the quality of the portfolio company valuations, financial and ESG data in the portfolio monitoring system, and fund performance reports distributed to EQT's investors.
Additionally, you will contribute to internal business development projects, onboarding new investments to EQT reporting and portfolio monitoring, and work on ad-hoc requests from investors or stakeholders within EQT.
Who are you?
- Have a strong interest in finance and private equity
- Preferably have experience from previous internships within corporate finance, strategy consulting, transaction services, or similar
- Hands-on experience with the valuation of private companies is considered an asset
- Professional in approach to the business and demonstrate comfort in interacting with important counterparties, both internally (within EQT) and externally
- Personal drive and strive for excellence; Someone who walks the extra mile, takes responsibility, and wants to deliver high quality
- Team spirit, strong social competence, straightforward and friendly, yet down to earth
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written
- The role would fit final-year bachelor/master students in finance & investments, industrial engineering, or (business) economics; however, applicants from other disciplines are welcome to apply.
