Job Summary:
In collaboration with our external service providers, the perfect candidate will take charge of reporting, audit and accounting, tax, and financial oversight for our group of entities. Further, it gives a very exciting opportunity to grow with Makina, our new decentralized on-chain asset management solution we are currently developing. This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, the ability to work independently, and a readiness to own the process to achieve outstanding outcomes.
Dialectic is the investment advisor for several offshore funds that serve investors globally. Therefore, expertise in offshore fund accounting and reporting, along with related disciplines, will be highly beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day financial operations, including basic accounting tasks, financial reporting preparation, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with IFRS and Swiss law.
- Help monitor financial performance by gathering data, preparing analyses, and supporting variance reviews.
- Contribute research and preliminary insights to support decision-making by the finance team and senior leadership.
- Assist in preparing materials for reporting to stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, investors, and internal management.
- Support in reviewing and improving financial reporting processes by documenting workflows and supporting standardization efforts.
- Assist portfolio managers by gathering, structuring and analysing on-chain data which can be used for monthly NAV closings and reportings.
Key Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, mathematics or a related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles; familiarity with IFRS or Swiss law is a plus.
- Curiosity about crypto/blockchain technologies and willingness to learn in this area.
- Strong interest in decentralized finance (DeFi), blockchain, and Web3 innovations.
- Interest in fund accounting and exposure to financial operations is an advantage.
- Comfortable with MS Excel/Google Sheets.
- Ability to organize and document work clearly.
- Interest in exploring new tools and technologies, such as AI co-pilots, to support financial analysis and control.
- Demonstrated integrity, humility, intellectual curiosity, and openness to learning.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative under guidance.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
Nice-to-haves:
- Exposure to crypto markets, digital assets, or blockchain projects through coursework, internships, or personal involvement is a plus.
- Some understanding and experience with typical hedge fund terms and documents including offering memorandums, portfolio supplements and subscription agreements.
