What does this role involve?
As a QA Tester at Dexory, you will be responsible for ensuring that our DexoryView platform and overall product deliver a seamless and reliable experience for our customers. Your role will involve creating and executing detailed manual test plans and test cases, as well as discovering and highlighting gaps in our automated test suites and coordinating with the engineering team to ensure that any gaps are closed and tested manually until that happens. . You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other team members to identify and track bugs, conduct regression tests, and evaluate the performance of the application under various conditions. Your work will be crucial in maintaining the high quality and reliability of our software.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Becoming an expert user of the app, understanding the expected use cases and the strengths and weaknesses of the product and suggesting areas for improvement
- Creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured manual test plans and test cases.
- Executing manual test cases and identifying defects.
- Coordinating with the engineering team to be aware of where our automated test suite is strongest, where it has gaps, and ensuring that the parts of the app that aren’t well-covered by automated tests are manually tested until automated tests can be implemented
- Identifying, recording, documenting, and tracking bugs and other issues.
- Conducting regression tests to ensure that new code changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
- Evaluating the performance of the application under different conditions.
- Working closely with developers, product managers, and other team members to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
You should have:
- Proven experience as a QA Tester or similar role in software quality assurance.
- A strong sense of empathy, allowing you to intuit how users might use the app to accomplish various tasks, and the problems they might encounter so that we can expose and fix them before our customers see them
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Experience with performance and regression testing.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- An ability to break stuff - you should have a good feel for how websites work and don’t work and know what kinds of behaviour or input are likely to cause problems and expose buggy or unintuitive behaviour
