Chief of Staff

Wallingford, Oxfordshire

At Dexory, we're developing advanced software powered by cutting-edge robots that are transforming the very face of global logistics. With infectious enthusiasm, our unique blend of disciplines work in harmony to produce results at pace. From hardware and manufacturing to software, AI and commercial, we're one team – one heart – that beats, learns and grows together.

Big growth means even bigger opportunities. We’re looking for a Chief of Staff who’s ready to make a real impact in a fast-moving environment.

Role:

The Chief of Staff will act as a force multiplier for the whole executive team, ensuring that strategy translates into execution and that accountability is driven across the business. This role will be crucial in ensuring communication, accountability, and real-time problem-solving. The right candidate will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a proactive mindset and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the company’s OKR and strategic planning processes, supporting teams in their planning and holding them accountable for delivery.
  • Work closely with the CEO and executive team to ensure strategy is translated into execution across all functions.
  • Drive accountability, discipline, and cadence in execution across the full business.
  • Lead high-priority special projects, often cross-functional and time-critical.
  • Serve as a thought partner to the CEO and executive team, providing leverage on decision-making, communication, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Run a lean business operations team that focuses on driving data-driven decision making and AI automation.
  • Help refine operating rhythms, processes, and cross-team collaboration to support scale.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Chief of Staff, COO, Head of Operations, or senior operator in an early-stage or scaling startup environment.
  • Demonstrated success in driving execution across multiple functions (product, engineering, commercial, operations) and aligning teams around strategic priorities.
  • Strong understanding of company operating rhythms and cadence — planning cycles, OKRs, business reviews, and performance tracking.
  • Track record of building lightweight processes that enable speed and accountability rather than bureaucracy.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and influencing skills; able to work effectively with senior leaders and individual contributors alike.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with comfort in using data to drive decisions and measure impact.
  • Exceptional communication and organisational skills; able to simplify complexity and keep teams aligned.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and context switching, thriving in fast-moving, high-growth environments.
Demonstrated ability to lead special projects or internal initiatives from concept to delivery.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; MBA or additional business/leadership training beneficial but not required.
