Your role We are currently searching for a Production Planner to become a member of a unique fast paced team. The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling internal manufacturing of components and for co-ordinating the assembly schedules of our robots through the production department. The role is pivotal to Dexory's strategic plans for both the delivery and quality of the assemblies that our production department produces. The company's ambitious expansion in production volumes in the near future necessitates precise scheduling & monitoring ensuring that plans are achievable, aiding on time delivery of our product whilst also enhancing efficiency through our production department.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Support the Production Control Manager with Planning and ensuring on time delivery of all projects related to our product
- Work with Senior Engineers, Engineering Co-ordinator, Head of Production and Production Team Leader ensuring that project plans are aligned and plans are achievable
- Raise works orders to ensure that Production has visibility of the tasks required to meet delivery targets.
- To aid the development of, and manage production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels and resource capacity
- Work closely with the Production Control Manager, Head of Production, Production Team Leader and the cross functional team to align production plans with company targets ensuring that parts and assemblies are correctly prioritised throughout the relevant departments
- Identify potential production risks, aid with mitigation strategies
- Optimise the production planning processes to aid efficiency improvements within the department
- Assist the Production Control Manager with the departments continuous improvement initiatives by improving process to help us reach the departments targets of aiding the on time delivery of projects
- Fulfill additional duties, whether functional or administrative, as assigned by management in a fair and reasonable manner
Requirements
- In excess of five years experience in electromechanical assembly within a precision industry (including Motorsport, Aerospace, Automotive etc)
- Positive attitude and ability to motivate others
- Be process driven
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Ability to create a positive profile for yourself and the department with a Can Do approach
- Ability to work in, and to lead a team through tough challenges
- Driven to succeed in a dynamic, growing commercial organisation
- Flexible attitude to working hours and location to meet company objectives and tight deadlines
It would be desirable if you also had experience with:
- Business software tools such as Jira, Confluence, Slack and G-Suite
- Manufacturing software such as manufacturing execution systems
- Root cause analysis methodologies
- Manufacturing methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, APQP-PPAP
