Your Role:

We are seeking a Senior-level Back-End Architect to define and govern backend architecture across multiple products and platforms. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to make long-term architectural decisions aligned with business strategy.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

• Own backend architecture vision and roadmap across teams and domains
• Design large-scale distributed systems using PHP, Node.js, and Java
• Drive architectural decisions for microservices, event-driven systems, and data platforms
• Lead complex system refactoring and legacy modernization initiatives
• Define non-functional requirements (scalability, resilience, performance, security)
• Act as final technical authority in architecture and design reviews
• Mentor Senior Engineers and influence engineering culture
• Partner with product and business leaders on strategic initiatives
• Ensure architectural consistency and governance across teams

Who You Are:

Must-Have:

• 10+ years of backend engineering experience with 3–5+ years in an architecture role
• Proven experience designing enterprise-scale, high-traffic systems
• Deep expertise in PHP, Node.js, and Java ecosystems
• Strong background in distributed systems and fault tolerance
• Experience leading cross-team technical initiatives
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong understanding and practical application of architectural patterns

Preferred:

• Experience defining platform-wide standards and governance models
• Cloud-native architecture experience
• Experience with Kafka, Pub/Sub, or large-scale messaging systems
• Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design and Clean Architecture
