Junior PHP Developer

Delasport is an iGaming Software company providing Sports Betting & Online Casino software, and turnkey B2B solutions. Established in 2010, Delasport delivers a one-stop-shop solution of Sports Betting and Online Casino from a White-Label, with a full range of management services to a Plug&Play iFrame and a complete Turnkey. We are looking for the top talents to join our team in R&D centre in Kyiv.
As a Junior PHP Engineer, you will start your journey in the dynamic world of Sports and Online Gaming, working with integrations, real-time data processing, and reporting systems at scale. You will collaborate with experienced engineers, learn modern backend technologies, and contribute to the development and improvement of our platforms.
TECHNOLOGY STACK: PHP 8, Symfony 6, Node.js, REST APIs, MongoDB, MySQL, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in integrating third-party customer services and APIs
- Contribute to developing new features under the guidance of senior engineers
- Help maintain and improve existing functionality
- Participate in code reviews and learn best development practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with team support
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to deliver reliable product features
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
REQUIREMENTS
- 0–2 years of experience in web application development (commercial or strong personal projects)
- Basic knowledge of PHP and object-oriented programming
- Understanding of relational databases (MySQL or similar)
- Basic understanding of REST APIs
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Willingness to learn new technologies and improve technical skills
NICE TO HAVES
- Basic familiarity with Symfony or similar PHP frameworks
- Exposure to NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of Node.js
- Interest in the sports or gaming industry
- Understanding of web security fundamentals
