The Field Operations Director serves as the strategic operating partner to Sales leadership, driving execution of the go-to-market strategy through business insight, operational excellence, forecasting discipline, and performance management.
This leader translates company priorities into field execution, ensuring sales leaders have the visibility, processes, analytics, and operational support required to deliver revenue objectives. The role acts as the bridge between Revenue Operations and frontline sales teams, identifying performance opportunities, driving accountability, and leading initiatives that improve productivity and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership Partnership
- Serve as the primary Revenue Operations business partner for sales leaders and regional leadership teams.
- Support annual and quarterly business planning processes.
- Provide strategic guidance on revenue performance, pipeline health, customer trends, and opportunity management.
- Translate business priorities into actionable operational plans.
- Forecasting & Business Reviews
- Lead forecast governance and inspection processes across sales organizations.
- Partner with sales leaders to improve forecast quality, predictability, and accountability.
- Drive weekly, monthly, and quarterly business review cadences.
- Develop executive-level reporting and insights for leadership decision-making.
- Performance Management & Analytics
- Monitor sales performance against revenue objectives and key performance indicators.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through data analysis.
- Deliver actionable recommendations to improve conversion rates, pipeline quality, customer growth, and overall sales effectiveness.
- Establish consistent performance measurement frameworks across teams and regions.
- Go-to-Market Execution
- Drive execution of strategic sales initiatives and transformation programs.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts between Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations.
- Ensure alignment between corporate priorities and field execution.
- Track program effectiveness and business impact.
- Operational Excellence
- Simplify and standardize sales processes to improve seller productivity.
- Act as the voice of the field within Revenue Operations.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and champion continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support adoption of new processes, tools, and ways of working.
- Strategic Insights
- Analyze business performance to inform leadership decisions.
- Evaluate market, segment, and customer trends impacting growth.
- Support scenario planning and revenue discussions with data-driven recommendations.
- Provide insight into execution risks and mitigation strategies.
Experience: - 10+ years of experience in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, Business Operations, Strategy, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience partnering with senior sales leaders in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Proven track record driving operational improvements and business performance initiatives.
- Strong experience in forecasting, business management, and executive reporting.

About Convera
Pay Transparency Statement
Convera is committed to pay transparency and equity in accordance with applicable U.S. state and local laws. For this position, the expected base salary range is $140,000.00 - $210,000.00 per year, depending on factors such as experience, qualifications, and geographic location. We use a tiered geographic pay system to ensure fairness across regions. Candidates in high-cost areas may receive higher offers within the posted range.
