Senior Compliance Analyst

Work From Home - USA

We are looking for an experienced Senior Compliance Analyst to join our Compliance and Risk Investigations and Analysis team to work on complex investigations independently and other matters related to identification and mitigation of AML, CTF and fraud risks.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on Level 2 transaction monitoring investigations and holistic reviews of financial institution customers
  • Give feedback on transaction monitoring system issues and suggestions for improvements; may complete reviews on new transaction monitoring rules
  • Draft narratives for regulatory reporting and can draft and/or file SAR or STR reports for FinCEN and FINTRAC
  • May work on documentation/process updates.
  • Work on actioning escalated held payments that need to be reviewed for Compliance concerns. Also review and respond to subpoena and law enforcement requests.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience, or minimum of 8 years of related experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience in a Compliance or related role
  • Woking proficiency in Microsoft suite, specifically Excel
  • English (professional working proficiency)
  • Strong knowledge of anti-money laundering, terrorist financing, and fraud typologies and methods
  • Analytical thinking including the ability to judge and validate open-source intelligence. Ability to analyze and communicate large datasets.
  • Strong technical writing skills and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate topics to a wider group of peers
  • Experience in transaction monitoring investigations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CAMS, ICA, ACFCS, or similar certifications
  • Background in banking, financial crime, or related fields, and knowledge of compliance regulations and best practices
  • Experience in higher risk customer reviews or investigations, such as for crypto, MSBs, or FinTechs.
  • Degree in finance, law enforcement, economics, criminology, or a closely related degree.

Pay Transparency Statement

Convera is committed to pay transparency and equity in accordance with applicable U.S. state and local laws. For this position, the expected base salary range is [$85,000 - $109,000] per year, depending on factors such as experience, qualifications, and geographic location. We use a tiered geographic pay system to ensure fairness across regions. Candidates in high-cost areas may receive higher offers within the posted range.
