Lead Capability Development Specialist

We are seeking a Lead Capability Development Specialist to design and implement strategic capability-building initiatives that drive business performance, workforce agility, and leadership excellence. You will be instrumental in developing critical skills, fostering career growth, and embedding a culture of continuous learning within a fast-paced finance and technology environment. Working on the Learning & Development Team, you will have deep expertise in capability development, skills-based learning, and workforce transformation, with a proven track record of delivering scalable learning solutions in dynamic organizations. 

Key Responsibilities 

Strategic Capability Development & Workforce Planning 

  • Develop and execute a capability development strategy aligned with business objectives, ensuring employees have the skills needed to drive innovation and growth
  • Conduct skills gap analyses and partner with business leaders to identify critical capabilities for the future
  • Design and implement capability academies, skills frameworks, and career pathways to support long-term employee development
  • Leverage appropriate learning platforms, digital adoption tools, and in-the-flow-of-work learning solutions to enhance capability-building efforts 

Learning & Development Program Design 

  • Lead the development of scalable, high-impact learning programs, including technical and functional programs for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Partner with SMEs, business leaders, and the People team to create customized learning experiences that address industry- and company-specific challenges
  • Implement enterprise-wide upskilling and reskilling initiatives, ensuring employees stay ahead of industry trends and technological advancements 

Data-Driven Decision Making & Continuous Improvement 

  • Establish metrics and reporting frameworks to measure the impact of capability development initiatives
  • Use learning analytics, workforce data, and business insights to refine programs and ensure alignment with organizational goals
  • Stay ahead of emerging trends in skills-based learning, industry changes, and workforce transformation, integrating innovative approaches into all programs 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Learning Design, Organizational Development, HR, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in capability development, learning & development, and/or workforce transformation
  • Proven expertise in skills-based learning, career development frameworks, and workforce planning
  • Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive enterprise-wide capability-building initiatives
