People Operations Generalist
Zurich
Role purpose:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and dependable People Operations Generalist to support the smooth running of our HR processes and employee experience. This role offers a broad scope across HR administration, Swiss compliance, onboarding, and People & Culture initiatives.
You’ll work closely with the People team and other departments to ensure employees receive timely, accurate support throughout their journey with us. You’ll also contribute to projects that provide a direct impact on company culture.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Administration & Employee Support
- Manage and maintain employee records and HR documentation in our HRIS.
- Prepare contracts, amendments, employment confirmations, and other documents in line with local labor law.
- Support employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, internal changes, and leave management.
- Be a first point of contact for HR-related queries, ensuring clear and supportive communication.
Payroll & Benefits Coordination
- Gather and prepare monthly payroll input (e.g. salary changes, time off) for employees.
- Liaise with our external payroll provider and internal finance team to ensure timely and accurate payroll delivery.
- Support administration of benefits, including pension (BVG), insurance (UVG/KVG), and other statutory requirements.
Onboarding & Offboarding
- Coordinate onboarding logistics: documentation, systems access, welcome communications, and first-day setup.
- Assist with offboarding processes, including exit documentation and employee transitions.
People & Culture Projects
- Contribute to company-wide initiatives related to culture, engagement, and internal communication.
- In close collaboration with the Global Head of People & Culture - organize internal events, employee surveys, and recognition programs.
- Assist in updating policies, templates, and process documentation.
HR Systems & Reporting
- Ensure data accuracy across HR tools and systems.
- Generate routine reports and provide HR metrics to stakeholders as needed.
Candidate Profile
- 2–3 years of experience in HR operations, people support, or a similar role.
- Familiarity with Swiss labor law, payroll inputs, and social insurance processes.
- Experience using HRIS tools (e.g., Greenhouse, BambooHR) and spreadsheets (Excel).
- Strong attention to detail and a structured, solution-oriented mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluent in English and German.
