Project Description

You will be responsible for onboarding new customers and delivering high-performance, reliable data pipelines. You will work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure rapid time-to-value, building scalable data ingestion, transformation, and analytics solutions on Google Cloud Platform. The position involves daily hands-on work with core data engineering tools and occasional use of streaming, infrastructure, and container orchestration technologies. The role also includes participation in on-call support to ensure production reliability.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver complex customer data ingestion and data warehousing projects
  • Build, maintain, and optimize data transformation workflows using DBT
  • Develop scalable, standardized ETL/ELT pipelines with enterprise-grade quality
  • Orchestrate and monitor data workflows using Google Composer (Airflow)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across data discovery, ETL development, QA/QC, and SLA definition
  • Support onboarding and ingestion of new data sources
  • Maintain and evolve analytical data models
  • Define and implement data validation and testing frameworks
  • Provide production support via PagerDuty

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering
  • Strong hands-on experience with DBT
  • Solid experience with Google BigQuery as a primary analytical data warehouse
  • Experience working with Google Cloud Storage
  • Daily experience with Google Composer / Apache Airflow
  • Strong Python skills for data pipelines and automation
  • Experience with Docker
  • Familiarity with Kafka for event-driven or streaming ingestion
  • Experience with Google Dataflow for batch and streaming processing
  • Exposure to Terraform for infrastructure-as-code
  • Experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
  • Strong understanding of data quality, reliability, and scalability best practices
  • Willingness to participate in on-call support
  • English level: B2 (Upper-Intermediate) or higher
