Project Description

 

The project focuses on modernizing the company’s healthcare data platform to support reporting, business intelligence, analytics, AI-enabled workflows, and the migration away from Athenahealth. The specialist will join the data analytics team and work with stakeholders to analyze healthcare and business data, gather reporting needs, and build BI reports and dashboards that support operational visibility and strategic decision-making.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze large datasets from multiple sources to identify trends, insights, and actionable business recommendations;
  • Create, maintain, and improve interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau;
  • Visualize business metrics and complex data trends in a clear, structured, and user-friendly way;
  • Collaborate with business leaders, product teams, and other stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into BI solutions;
  • Work with data and analytics engineers on data models, data pipelines, and data integration across systems;
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support specific business questions, operational needs, and decision-making;
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity by validating data and following data governance practices;
  • Develop, track, and improve KPIs, performance metrics, and measurement frameworks;
  • Identify opportunities to improve BI processes, reporting efficiency, data collection, and overall data usage across the organization;

Job Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Analytics Engineering, or a related role;
  • Proficiency with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar tools;
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets in cloud data warehouse environments;
  • Experience with the modern data stack, including cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, GCP, or Databricks, dbt, semantic layers, and BI tools;
  • Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, data modeling, and data integration concepts;
  • Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable business insights;
  • Strong focus on data accuracy, consistency, and report/dashboard quality;
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders;
  • English level: Upper-Intermediate or higher;
  • Ability to maintain daily overlap with the US team until at least 12:30 PM Pacific Time;

Nice To Have

  • Experience with healthcare, payer, EMR/EHR, or health insurance data;
  • Experience working with Athenahealth data;
  • Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR or HL7;
  • Experience supporting Revenue Cycle Management data;
  • Experience with AWS data services;
  • Experience designing event-driven data architectures;
  • Familiarity with AI-ready data architectures and modern data governance practices;
  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis;
  • BI tool certifications, advanced degree, or relevant professional certifications;
