Manager, Procurement

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Master procurement and sourcing processes, and drive results in meeting business needs and timelines with limited supervision
- Implement cost-effective procurement strategies
- Support the creation of procurement processes and documents in compliance with procurement policies which include supplier RFI and RFP, roles and responsibility, contracts, etc.
- Collaborate with internal functional teams to identify supplier chain, requirements, and specifications of each supplier.
- Lead RFI/RFP sourcing process in identifying external suppliers and ensuring selected suppliers meet internal and/or client requirements and specifications.
- Negotiate with external suppliers to secure advantageous terms including favorable prices
- Perform cost-benefit analysis for each supply/service need
- Finalize purchase details and contracts working with legal department.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned external suppliers
- Track and report supplier dashboard and key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness, prepare procurement reports as requested
- Be flexible to support other business operations areas and company initiatives/programs as assigned. Be able to work with clients, internal team, or external vendors as needed to meet initiative or program requirements.
- Occasional travel may be required and be able to drive
Education and Experience:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in business or science.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and command of English, including presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, time management, and leadership skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to details
- Minimum 5+ years working experience in Procurement and sourcing with in-depth knowledge of RFI/RFP process, negotiation, and contracts
- Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment. Able to work efficiently under pressure and consistently meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in life science industry managing clinical trial suppliers preferred
- Computer/Software
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook is required. Be able to learn other computer software as required to perform the duties assigned.
