As the leading European early-stage venture capital firm based in Berlin, Cherry Ventures is committed to driving innovation and supporting our dynamic portfolio of startups. We are seeking an ambitious and experienced VP of Communications and Brand to join our vibrant team.

This role will be pivotal in not only shaping and advancing our communications strategy but also in growing and developing our brand, taking it to the next level, and supporting our portfolio companies with strategic communication.

Role Summary:

The VP Communications and Brand at Cherry will be responsible for driving all aspects of our communications strategy, both internally and externally. This role demands a high-energy, flexible professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is focused on achieving immediate results. The successful candidate will work closely with our portfolio companies to develop and implement effective communication strategies that align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Continue to develop and execute our comprehensive brand strategy that aligns with the firm's mission, vision and values whilst ensuring impact.
• Oversee the execution of all communications-related activities, including content strategy, media relations, digital marketing, and public relations, ensuring they align with our firm’s objectives and brand positioning. 
• Oversee the creation of high-quality, engaging content that showcases the firm’s expertise and thought leadership.
• Proactively identify and build on opportunities to elevate our fund and brand externally, including securing top-tier media coverage and speaking engagements at key industry events and conferences.
• Oversee Cherry’s events strategy, ensuring alignment with Cherry’s brand guidelines and vision. Own the successful execution of Cherry’s events by leveraging the existing events team 
• Lead strategic communication planning and execution with our portfolio companies to effectively articulate their vision and achievements, with a founders first mindset
• Act as the primary communications contact for Cherry Ventures, ensuring effective message delivery to diverse audiences, including investors, partners, and the media.

Requirements:

• +10 years of professional experience in communications, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Proven track record of developing & executing successful communication strategies with measurable results.
• An outgoing personality with a flexible approach to work; must be open-minded and quick to adjust to new challenges and changes.
• A strong focus on execution and delivering daily successes; tactically proficient and capable of fast implementation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively manage relationships with senior stakeholders and drive the communications agenda.
• Be an amazing storyteller: Convert Cherry + portfolio wins into viral and engaging stories on social media.
• Happy to work out of our lovely central London or Berlin offices on a hybrid-basis (3 days minimum).
