Sales & Marketing Expert - E-commerce
Location: Amman, Jordan.
Working Arrangement: on-site.
Language Requirements: Fluency in Arabic & English (written and spoken).
We are seeking an experienced Sales & Marketing Expert (E-commerce) to support the growth and commercialization of a digital marketplace platform. The consultant will be responsible for designing and implementing a scalable sales and marketing framework, establishing supplier and retailer acquisition strategies, and enabling sustainable growth in platform registrations, subscriptions, and transaction volumes. The role requires hands-on experience in marketplace, e-commerce, platform, or technology-driven business environments.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in building and implementing sales and marketing strategies for digital platforms, marketplaces, e-commerce businesses, or technology-enabled ventures.
- Demonstrated experience designing and operationalizing sales structures, sales processes, and customer acquisition frameworks.
- Experience developing and executing go-to-market (GTM) strategies for platform-based businesses.
- Track record of increasing supplier/vendor onboarding, merchant acquisition, customer registrations, and subscription growth.
- Experience developing sales pipelines, lead generation methodologies, and customer engagement models.
- Experience driving platform adoption, transaction growth, and customer retention initiatives.
- Experience designing and implementing performance management frameworks, KPIs, and sales dashboards.
- Proven experience training, coaching, and mentoring sales and business development teams.
- Experience working with B2B, B2B2C, marketplace, or e-commerce business models.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with wholesale, retail, or marketplace platforms.
- Previous experience launching or scaling digital platforms in the GCC or Middle East region.
- Experience with CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, and customer success frameworks.
- Exposure to subscription-based business models and recurring revenue strategies.
- Experience supporting digital transformation or platform commercialization initiatives.
Other Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, E-Commerce, or a related field.
- Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and training capabilities.
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen.
- Ability to work independently and deliver practical, results-oriented solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy for the platform.
- Design the target sales organization structure, operating model, and performance framework.
- Establish supplier, merchant, and retail shop acquisition methodologies and onboarding processes.
- Develop sales playbooks, operating procedures, and performance metrics.
- Train and mentor internal teams on sales execution, customer acquisition, and account management.
- Design and implement initiatives to increase supplier and retailer registrations and subscriptions.
- Develop customer engagement and retention strategies to increase purchasing activity and repeat transactions.
- Analyze platform performance and recommend improvements to drive sustainable growth.
- Support the implementation of sales, marketing, and customer success best practices.
- Monitor KPIs and provide recommendations to optimize acquisition, conversion, retention, and revenue growth.
