About The Role:
The Global Events Manager at BVNK owns the development and execution of BVNK’s global events strategy, ensuring we deliver a best in-class experience at every event, drive meaningful return on investment for BVNK and contribute to team and culture cohesion.
This role covers both external facing events and internal team events.
Reporting into the SVP of Marketing, Emma Mayer.
Key Responsibilities:
- You’ll contribute to creating and own the execution of a comprehensive events strategy that supports our commercial objectives, enables us to engage with our target audiences, and generates measurable results.
- Owning the events budget and forecasting, ensuring that it is up to date, invoices logged and passed to our finance team, and all internal stakeholders are aligned and informed.
- Developing relationships, liaising and negotiating with suppliers, to make sure we get the best terms possible and that everything runs smoothly pre, during, and post event.
- Maintain the events calendar, collaborating with teams across the business to forward plan the roll out of events.
- Running event briefing kick-off meetings and post-event retros with our commercial team. Running point pre-event on all logistical, pre-planning aspects of the event the team attends.
- Work with our content and design teams to brief any content and visual assets required for events.
- Day to day management of events including being on-site where necessary.
- Proactively identifying growth opportunities and areas to improve our events strategy. Presenting these ideas to the team to get buy in and move them forward.
- Analytics and reporting. Working closely with our commercial team to set clear goals and KPIs for events, and reporting back to the business on progress
What we need from you:
- Have a genuine passion for events and an understanding for how they drive commercial and brand growth
- Have an understanding of marketing and how events contribute to an overall GTM strategy
- Have a strong knack for logistics, experience with managing large group travels (e.g team offsites)
- Have an understanding of event production & branding
- Are hyper organised and a great multi-tasker
- Have demonstrated experience in project management and leading events for a high-growth B2B company or startup
- Some knowledge of the tech/fintech event landscape at an international scale
- Be flexible to change, open to pivot and ready for action
- Are comfortable operating in a fast paced environment with a lot of autonomy
- Are comfortable with a wide-range of events format such as roundtables, executive dinners, conferences, roadshows and trade shows.
- Are hands-on, no task too big or too small (this event role is currently the only one for the entire company)
- Enjoy collaborating with others and are driven by the success of your team
- Are resourceful and good at pushing projects from ideation to execution
- Bring energy, creativity, and new ideas to build a successful event experience.
- Willingness and excitement to travel, approximately 10-15%.
- Are familiar with Salesforce/Slack/Google Suite
- Have experience collaborating and coordinating directly with sales teams
