Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Data Analyst with close to or more than 5 years of experience, including exposure to working with startups or similar quick  environments. As a data team member, you will play a crucial role in analyzing datasets, extracting insights, and providing actionable recommendations to drive data-informed decision-making within our organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the early growth and success of BRKZ Data vertical by putting in the foundations needed for its future.

What You will do (Responsibilities) :

• Data Analysis and Insights:
  • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and correlations.
  • Interpret and present findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Report Development and Visualization:
  • Design and develop reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to effectively communicate key metrics and trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver high-quality outputs.
• Data Management and Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency through rigorous data cleansing and validation processes.
  • Implement and maintain data governance practices to enhance data quality and reliability.

• Business Intelligence Tools and Technologies:
  • Utilize modern analytics engineering tools & frameworks such as dbt, git, Great Expectations and Metabase to transform and visualize data. 
  • Stay updated with emerging trends and advancements in data analytics tools and techniques.
• Collaborative Partnership:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to gather requirements and understand business objectives.
  • Distill requirements from stakeholder challenges and come up with modeling and/or visualization solutions to their problems.
• Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
  • Identify opportunities to streamline data processes, improve data quality, and enhance analytical capabilities.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices in data analytics.

Who You are (Qualifications) : 

• 5+ years as a Data analyst or an analytics engineer or equivalent.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience communicating updates and resolutions to stakeholders and other partners and ability to collaborate with different stakeholders.
• Experience in dimensional data modeling, ETL design, implementation and maintenance.
• Expert in SQL, git, and basic Python knowledge.
• Experience with Airflow, and at least one of BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift.
• Experience with dbt.
• Experience building semantic layers is a plus.
• Experience with Great Expectations is a plus.
• Experience with analytical model development and deployment processes.
• Experience with one or more BI visualization tools.
