Project Manager Technical Rollouts (f/m/d)

Berlin

About BEAT81

At BEAT81, we're on a mission to revolutionize fitness by combining technology, group training, and world-class coaching. As a fast-growing fitness-tech startup, we enable people across Europe – and soon worldwide – to experience Sweat Smarter Together. With innovative HIIT & RIDE workouts, real-time heart rate tracking, and gamification, we transform the traditional fitness experience into something dynamic, personalized, and impactful.

We're not just building a global leader in fitness and technology – we're building a world-class team. At BEAT81, we value passion, potential, and the power of fresh perspectives.

We are looking for a Project Manager Technical Rollouts (f/m/d) to join our Hardware / Technical Operations Team!

You own the rollout of all technical systems across our studios – whether it's our in-house workout technology platform, keyless entry, sound & lights, or whatever comes next. Your first project: bringing our technical platform, the hardware/software system that powers the entire workout operation, to every studio. You own each rollout end-to-end: from planning through procurement and installation to go-live. When a studio goes live on time, that's your success – and when something isn't working, you figure out why and fix it. Along the way, you coordinate cross-functionally between Product, Engineering, City Operations, Construction, and Supply Chain, make sure every system works as intended, and build systems and playbooks that work without you and make every rollout repeatable.

Your responsibilities

Project Steering & Governance

  • End-to-end ownership of technical rollouts across all studios – you make sure it's always clear where each project stands and what happens next, and you derive implications for future launches.
  • You identify problems, propose solutions, and execute them – often within the same week.
  • You set up and run a professional project management structure – keeping stakeholders and C-level informed, aligned, and able to make decisions quickly.

Planning & Milestones

  • Define the rollout sequence and timeline for all studios – per project and across projects.
  • Evaluate and continuously adjust budgets based on updated cost estimates.
  • Develop a Rollout Playbook (if applicable a repeatable process for every new studio) and an Education Playbook – including troubleshooting guides, e.g. what to do when a component fails.

Operational Coordination

  • Procurement: You coordinate ordering equipment and materials and track deliveries.
  • Select and contract vetted external partners and service providers – including long-term contracts with nationwide partners.
  • Monitor implementation progress on-site and coordinate the final quality check with the relevant teams.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Central interface between Product, Tech/Engineering, City Operations, Construction, Revenue Performance, and Supply Chain.
  • Timely and clear communication to FOH, Studio Managers, Construction, Facility Management, and Support teams.
  • Keep success metrics in focus: successful pilots, on-time go-lives, completed playbooks, and up-to-date budgets.

What you bring

  • 2–5 years of professional experience in project management – ideally in hardware rollouts, operations, tech implementations, or comparable cross-functional projects.
  • Experience independently managing complex projects with many stakeholders end-to-end and delivering results on time.
  • A solid technical understanding of hardware, networks, and connected systems – you don't need to code, but you should understand how the components work together.
  • A structured, proactive way of working: You keep timelines, budgets, and status updates reliably up to date.
  • Process thinking – you build repeatable workflows, checklists, and playbooks that work without you.
  • A hands-on mentality – you make pragmatic decisions on-site and roll up your sleeves yourself.
  • Strong communication skills across teams and levels – from Construction to C-level.
  • Fluent German & English, and willingness to travel to our studios within Germany.
