Senior Outward Reinsurance Technician
Your Role
As a Senior Outward Reinsurance Technician, you will join Apollo's Ceded Reinsurance team and play a key role in the administration, processing, and oversight of Apollo's outward reinsurance programmes across both Apollo syndicates and Platform Partner Syndicates.
Working closely with Underwriting, Finance, Claims, Actuarial teams, Brokers, and external reinsurance partners, you will support the full lifecycle of ceded reinsurance activity, ensuring accurate contract administration, timely reporting, and effective management of reinsurance arrangements across a diverse and growing portfolio.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative team at a time of continued growth. You will support multiple syndicates and partner businesses while helping to ensure Apollo continues to meet its operational and regulatory obligations across an increasingly complex reinsurance landscape.
What You'll Do
Manage the administration and processing of outward reinsurance contracts across proportional and non-proportional treaty arrangements.
Support the placement, maintenance, renewal, and ongoing management of reinsurance programmes across Apollo syndicates and Platform Partner Syndicates.
Maintain accurate reinsurance records and contract data within XL Pro and associated systems.
Process premium, claims, accounting, and settlement transactions relating to ceded reinsurance arrangements, including the provision of debiting instructions and management of activity through the Lloyd's Outwards Reinsurance Scheme (LORS).
Support the month-end net close process, monitor reinsurer aged debt, and liaise with brokers and counterparties to resolve outstanding matters.
Prepare and deliver Lloyd's Outwards Reinsurance reporting and related regulatory submissions.
Support the administration of legacy and run-off reinsurance arrangements where required.
Work closely with Underwriters, Finance, Claims, Actuarial teams, brokers, and external reinsurance counterparties to resolve queries and ensure accurate contract execution.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives while maintaining strong operational controls and data quality standards.
Support the continued growth of Apollo's Platform Partner Syndicates by providing high-quality ceded reinsurance administration and service delivery.
What We Are Looking For
Demonstrable experience working within a London Market ceded reinsurance function.
Strong knowledge of outward reinsurance operations and administration, including proportional and non-proportional treaty reinsurance.
Proven experience using XL Pro and the Lloyd's Outwards Reinsurance Scheme (LORS) for reinsurance administration, contract management, and settlement activities.
Experience preparing or supporting Lloyd's Outwards Reinsurance reporting and associated regulatory submissions.
Strong understanding of reinsurance accounting, premium processing, claims administration, cashflow management, and aged debt monitoring.
Experience working collaboratively with underwriting, finance, claims, actuarial teams, brokers, and reinsurers.
Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
Effective communication and relationship-building skills across internal and external stakeholders
Procurement Assistant
Your Role
As a Procurement Assistant, you will join Apollo's Procurement team and work closely with the Procurement Manager to support supplier management, contract governance, commercial negotiations, and procurement operations across the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their procurement career within the Lloyd's market. You will gain exposure to supplier relationships, contract management, third-party risk management, commercial negotiations, and procurement governance while supporting a diverse range of business functions across Apollo.
Operating within an FCA and PRA regulated environment, you will help ensure supplier engagements, contractual arrangements, and procurement activities align with internal policies, regulatory expectations, and commercial objectives.
What You'll Do
Support the end-to-end management of supplier contract renewals, ensuring agreements are reviewed, negotiated, and renewed in a timely manner.
Assist with reviewing supplier contracts, terms and conditions, and commercial agreements, working closely with Legal and key business stakeholders.
Support supplier negotiations, preparing commercial analysis and helping secure improved pricing, contractual terms, and value from suppliers.
Maintain procurement records, contract registers, renewal schedules, and supporting governance documentation.
Support supplier onboarding, due diligence, and third-party risk management activities.
Assist with monitoring supplier performance and maintaining positive supplier relationships across a diverse supplier portfolio.
Work with stakeholders across the business to coordinate procurement activity and provide guidance on procurement processes.
Support compliance with procurement policies, supplier governance standards, data protection requirements, and regulatory expectations.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes, controls, and supplier governance frameworks.
Develop a strong understanding of procurement best practice within the Lloyd's and wider financial services market.
What We Are Looking For
Exposure to working within an FCA and PRA regulated environment, ideally within the Lloyd's market, insurance, financial services, or another regulated industry.
Exposure to supplier governance frameworks, contract management processes, and third-party risk management activities.
Previous experience within procurement, supplier management, vendor management, commercial operations, or contract administration.
Strong commercial awareness, with an interest in supplier negotiations, relationship management, contract management, and delivering value through commercial and procurement activities.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, comfortable working with colleagues at all levels of the business and confident handling supplier relationships and discussions.
Experience reviewing contracts, commercial agreements, or supplier documentation would be beneficial.
Exposure to tender processes, including obtaining quotes and supporting Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposal (RFP).
Attention to detail when working with data, pricing information, and commercial analysis to support decision making.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
Interest in pursuing or working towards Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) qualifications would be advantageous.
Syndicate Reporting Accountant
Your Role
As a Syndicate Reporting Accountant, you will play a key role in the delivery of Apollo's external and regulatory reporting requirements across its Lloyd's syndicates. Working closely with the Syndicate Reporting Manager and wider Finance team, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely production of Syndicate Report & Accounts, Solvency UK (SUK) reporting, Lloyd's returns, and external stakeholder reporting.
This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant with Lloyd's market experience to further develop their expertise within a broad reporting role, gaining exposure to regulatory change, reporting process improvement, and engagement with stakeholders across Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Data Solutions, external auditors, and capital providers.
What You Will Do
Produce management information on both a Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and ultimate basis, working closely with the FP&A team to support business performance reporting and decision making.
Deliver Syndicate Report & Accounts, coordinating inputs from stakeholders across the business and managing reporting timelines.
Produce quarterly and annual Solvency UK (SUK) Quantitative Reporting Templates (QRTs), ensuring accuracy and compliance with reporting requirements.
Prepare and submit Lloyd's regulatory returns, including Quarterly Monitoring Returns (QMAs), Realistic Disaster Scenario Returns (RRAs), US Situs reporting, and other required submissions.
Support external stakeholder reporting, including reporting packs for capital providers and other external parties.
Act as a key contact for external auditors, coordinating information requests and supporting the smooth delivery of audits.
Contribute to the development of technical accounting papers, process documentation, and reporting controls.
Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and technology utilisation, working alongside the Data Solutions team to implement efficiencies.
Support wider finance and regulatory reporting activities as required.
What We Are Looking For
Experience producing Lloyd's market regulatory returns, Syndicate Report & Accounts, and Solvency II or Solvency UK (SUK) reporting.
Strong understanding of general insurance accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory reporting requirements.
Experience working within the Lloyd's or London Market insurance sector.
ACA, ACCA or equivalent accounting qualification, or currently studying towards qualification.
Experience producing management information, financial reporting, or performance reporting within a general insurance environment would be beneficial.
Strong data analysis and reporting skills, including advanced Excel capability and experience using Power Query.
Experience working with finance systems, general ledgers, finance data warehouses, and reporting tools.
Exposure to SQL, Q&A, or similar data extraction and querying tools would be beneficial.
A proactive approach to process improvement and reporting automation.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines and competing priorities.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders across Finance and the wider business.
