Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) Lead
Your Role
As ORSA Lead, you will take ownership of the end-to-end coordination, development and delivery of Apollo’s Own Risk and Solvency Assessment.
Working within the Enterprise Risk Management team, you will bring together business planning, capital management, stress and scenario testing, risk appetite and emerging risk assessment. You will ensure the ORSA provides a clear, forward-looking view of Apollo’s ability to deliver its strategic objectives within its approved risk appetite.
What you’ll do
Lead the annual ORSA process from initial planning through to Board approval and regulatory submission.
Develop the ORSA timetable and stakeholder engagement plan, coordinating input from underwriting, finance, actuarial, capital modelling and executive management.
Produce a clear and insightful ORSA report that supports effective business decisions.
Improve ORSA methodologies and identify opportunities for automation and greater efficiency.
Embed ORSA thinking into business planning and decision-making rather than treating it as a standalone annual exercise.
Lead stress testing and reverse stress testing programmes, including vulnerability assessments and emerging risk workshops.
Provide constructive second-line challenge on business plans, strategic proposals and material changes to Apollo’s risk profile.
Work closely with actuarial and finance teams on financial projections, solvency coverage and capital adequacy.
Support Executive Committee and Board consideration of material risks and opportunities.
Lead risk reporting for relevant management committees.

Strong written communication and report-writing skills.
The ability to turn complex technical analysis into clear, practical management insight.

Support performance management processes, including premium income monitoring, product governance and internal audits.
Contribute to departmental projects and the Delegated Authority Oversight Group.
Work with internal teams including Underwriting, Claims, Finance, Pricing, Exposure Management and Compliance to resolve queries and improve outcomes.
