Role Overview

AlgoQuant runs high-availability, performance-sensitive trading systems and protects sensitive research and execution data. We’re hiring a hands-on SRE to own and evolve our hybrid platform—AWS + bare metal (Hetzner or similar)—with strong fundamentals in Linux/Windows, networking, automation, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Hands-on SRE/TechOps role owning a hybrid trading platform (AWS + bare metal) with high availability, performance, and security requirements.
• Operate and harden Linux and Windows fleets, networking, segmentation, access control, and core cloud/on-prem infrastructure.
• Build repeatable infrastructure and automation using Terraform, Ansible, Python/Bash/PowerShell; run Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD-integrated workloads.
• Own observability and security tooling including monitoring, Entra ID/Intune, SASE/ZTNA, SIEM, EDR/XDR, and secrets management.

Requirements

• Be comfortable with the above, you don't need to tick all the boxes. Having a curious mind and the ability to learn is more important.

• Ensure corporate and internal systems are secure, compliant, well-maintained, with reliable, auditable access lifecycle management across users, devices, and services.
• Handle incidents and requests with clear ownership and communication while driving automation to continuously reduce operational overhead and risk.
• Propose and lead initiatives to success for the wider firm.
