Software Engineer (Data / AI / Trading Systems)
Location: Dubai (preferred)
Reporting to: Head of Data & AI

AlgoQuant Asset Management is a technology-AI native digital asset manager built on quantitative research, advanced data infrastructure, and fully automated execution. Originating as a proprietary trading firm, we are scaling into a global investment platform where AI, data engineering, and systematic trading systems define our edge.

The Role

• Build and maintain core trading, data, and AI infrastructure
• Develop shared libraries for feature engineering and backtesting
• Operate real-time and batch pipelines for high-volume market data
• Partner with Traders and Quants to deliver production-grade systems

What You’ll Work On

• Distributed data processing (Spark, Ray, Slurm or similar)
• Lakehouse architecture (S3, Iceberg, Delta Lake or similar)
• Event-driven systems (NATS/Kafka, K8s, Airflow, Docker)
• ML workflows and model deployment (PyTorch, TensorFlow, inference frameworks)

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong Python skills (C#, C++ or Rust a strong plus)
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (Claude, OpenAI, or similar)
• Background in trading systems, market data, or high-throughput environments
