As a part of our Design Engineering Team, you will be the design engineering lead for projects along our product portfolio / product strategy – from concept phase to final market launch.

 

Your responsibilities

  • You manage multiple projects in your field of expertise, own priorities and timelines, as well as the respective risk management.
  • You are responsible for converting the brief into a feasible and valuable design for our customer by applying engineering solutions (cad, simulation, prototyping)
  • Your engineering efforts focus on innovation, renovation and maintenance.
  • You draw limits and tolerances and define the product, test and lifetime requirements.
  • You convert the ideas into designs which are manufacturable and still makes the designer happy.
  • You embrace a user-centric approach and create products that exceed customer expectation.
  • You closely collaborate with cross-functional units such as product owner, industrial design, QM, manufacturing, product management and procurement. 
  • You are an important part when it comes to collaborating with our suppliers and bringing our ideas to life.
  • Office first: You enjoy working and collaborate with your colleagues in person in our new office in Munich. It is really important to us that the team can work on our products and new ideas together. (prototyping, 3D-printing, testing, iterating e.g.)

 

About you

  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, and you have 5+ years of relevant professional experience in mechanical engineering, ideally in the field of R&D in a food hardware industry.
  • You have demonstrated strong project management skills and are known for sticking to your timelines, ideally working with PM software (e.g. Asana, Miro etc.), in addition to that you have proven skills in SolidWorks, technical drawing skills and an eye for details.
  • You have designed parts for processes like injection molding, ISBM, LSR, blow molding or similar.
  • You are motivated by challenging environments and self-driven to improve products and bring them to the next level.
  • You are highly collaborative and keen on navigating technical issues, while finding realistic solutions, always with an eye for detail.
  • You are a fan of cross-functional teams and manage projects within this environment. 
  • Fluency in English.
  • You are able to go to the office every day to collaborate with your teammates and work on the products in our workshop.
