
Language Specialist - Background Verification
About the Role
We're hiring a Language Specialist to join our Background Verification (BGV) operations team in Thane, Mumbai. In this role, you'll support verification processes for global clients, coordinate with international stakeholders, and ensure documentation accuracy across multiple languages. Foreign language proficiency is highly valued, and prior BGV experience is a strong plus.
What You'll Do
- Manage end-to-end background verification processes for global clients
- Conduct employment, education, and address verification checks
- Coordinate with candidates, universities, employers, and third-party vendors across geographies
- Maintain accurate records and keep internal trackers and systems up to date
- Review documents to identify discrepancies, gaps, or missing information
- Ensure all cases meet TAT (turnaround time) and quality benchmarks
- Communicate professionally with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Support broader operational and client requirements as the business evolves
What We're Looking For
Must-haves
- Graduate in any discipline
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and professional email communication
- Comfortable working in rotational shifts
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Preferred
- Proficiency in one or more foreign languages: French, Arabic, Portuguese, or Spanish
- Prior experience in the Background Verification (BGV) industry
- Strong attention to detail when reviewing documents and data
- Solid follow-up and coordination skills
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to flag inconsistencies early
- Team player with a positive attitude and openness to feedback

Compensation
- Freshers: Up to ₹35,000/month
- Experienced candidates: Up to ₹55,000/month
