About the Role 

If you love designing from scratch, prototyping fast, and watching your code change how people work — this is your kind of role. You will be the driver of helping us reimagine the entire candidate and employee journey through AI and automation. From the moment someone applies to EXANTE, through onboarding, learning, and day-to-day HR operations — you will architect and build the intelligent workflows that power it all.

You will build — not tweak, not configure, but create real automations from the ground up that solve real problems across the full employee lifecycle. You will experiment — move fast, prototype, test with real users, learn, and iterate. No waiting for lengthy approval cycles is our promise. You will have freedom — to spot inefficiencies, propose bold solutions, and shape how AI transforms people's experience at EXANTE. You will be the go-to automation expert in our HR team — the engineer everyone turns to when they want to make something smarter, faster, or entirely new. And you will not be building in isolation — you will join a growing community of AI and Automation Engineers across EXANTE, swapping ideas, sharing tooling, and pushing each other forward.

Reporting Line: Head of Talent Strategy and Transformation

Contract: Initially project-based, with strong potential to become permanent

Worksite: Remote or office based - this depends on your preferences

Responsibilities

  • Design and build AI-driven automations from scratch across the full employee journey: Recruiting, Onboarding, Learning & Development, and HR Operations.
  • Turn rough ideas and pain points into working prototypes fast — think days, not months — for recruiters, HR partners, and employees.
  • Put your solutions in front of real users, gather feedback, and iterate until they work in practice — not just in theory.
  • Ship frequently — aim for at least one validated improvement per week. Small wins compound into big impact.
  • Evaluate what works, what doesn’t, and what’s ready to scale — bring an engineering mindset to measuring impact.
  • Document your work clearly and hand off proven concepts to core engineering teams for production-grade implementation.
  • Scout for automation opportunities others haven’t spotted yet — propose, prototype, and champion new ideas. You own this space.

Qualifications

  • Programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Understanding of machine learning techniques and frameworks.
  • Practical experience building AI or automation solutions (e.g. scripts, bots, workflow automations, AI-assisted tools).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with imperfect or evolving requirements.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to explain solutions in simple terms.
