About the role and team:
We’re taking our Delivery practice to the next level and we're looking for a Delivery Director to take the helm. You’ll have proven success in scaling a practice to support a £50m - £100m Client portfolio, setting the standard for Client experience and delivery excellence and driving outstanding outcomes for Clients,
You’re an experienced Delivery practice leader, comfortable with team design, capability mapping, getting hands on and above all, servant leadership.
You’re an evangelist and have a strong point of view when it comes to delivery. You have experience across the spectrum of delivery methodologies, both agile and traditional. You’ll use this experience, and your understanding of what makes CreateFuture special, to shape our delivery framework by applying your experience from working in a consultancy environment.
You relish the chance to spend time with Clients, both in pre-sales and project delivery. You’re a great consultant working with clients to deeply understand their business and nurture C-suite relationships. You’re comfortable challenging opinions, providing strategic guidance and love solving problems. You’ve delivered multiple large, enterprise-scale programmes.
You’re an experienced coach, mentor and natural leader. Confident to set a direction and then get hands on to support your team to deliver.
You’re collaborative and relish the prospect of partnering with our commercial team & other Directors to develop our Client Experience strategy.
What you’ll be doing:
- Defining our Delivery strategy, setting the vision and building the team to meet our current and future needs
- Applying delivery expertise to support multiple complex scaled client engagements
- Drive the delivery of our Delivery Framework, setting the standards for delivery quality for engagements of differing complexity and scale
- Coaching our team of Delivery Principals and Managers
- Removing blockers for the wider team and acting as a primary contact for any client escalation, working with the team and the client towards problem resolution
- Identifying potential risks and challenges that could impact the delivery of client projects, developing solutions and supporting the team to implement them
- Supporting the pre-sales process to help shape future engagements, including proposals, RFPs, pitches, SOW creation and team shaping
- Role modelling a delivery and outcome-focused way of working, never losing sight of the end goal for our clients, matching the current demands to the future plans and driving predictability through metrics
- Acting as an Agile Coach & mentor both internally and externally, enhancing the capability of the wider Delivery department.

- Are a seasoned Delivery Director with experience of running a £50+m portfolio across multiple client sectors
- Offer extensive experience from a Consultancy company
- Are skilled at enabling highly skilled, cross-functional teams to resolve complex problems
- Have large programme management experience (multi-million programmes)
- Can demonstrate your proven experience in applying modern agile methods and their application in a fast-paced environment
As this is a hybrid role, we’re looking for people within a commuting distance of our hub locations (Edinburgh/Leeds/Manchester/London) and who are flexible to travel to client sites and CreateFuture regional offices. We are very flexible and trust you to manage your own schedule to balance face-to-face time with clients, colleagues and working from home.
